Tomorrow over 100,000 racists and Islamophobes will descend upon the UK capital London to display their hatred of Islam and Muslims. This in a city where over one million Muslims reside and which is majority ethnic minority. Shame on the UK for allowing this brazen display of anti Muslim hatred to take place. Would they allow an explicitly anti Jewish march to take place? No they wouldn't. And before the morons in the comments start replying, the pro Palestine marches that have been happening for two years are NOT anti Jewish, they are anti Israel and anti Zionist. I want to see Muslims all over the world express their outrage over this march, including Muslim nations who should be registering their protest at the highest levels. And decent non Muslims should be raising their voices too. This mass display of Islamophobia and racism should be BANNED. It is a huge SHAME on this nation. Absolutely disgusted and appalled.

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

Well, we're done with our family volunteering day at the women's shelter until something changes. We usually go every week and wash clothes and linens, sort donations, make intake kits and the boys do yard maintenance/ snow removal depending on the time of year. The director has put her trans identifying son in charge of in take for the summer and I find it utterly repugnant and refuse to support it. Women come in fleeing abuse and making them talk to a man in womanface about it is disgusting. We've stopped our monthly donation, our weekly meal sponsorship and weekly volunteering session until this changes and let them know exactly why. We're not the only ones pulling back, another volunteer told me in the last 6 days all but 2 weekly volunteers have quit over this because no one wants to work alone in the building with this man. Please pray this person voluntarily resigns for the good of the organization because the alternative is it shutting down, it cannot run without daily volunteers and money.

Kid in my daughter's year 9 RE class has walked out this week and refused to come back. When told that are now going to be learning about Islam he stood up and said "I'm not wasting my time on this bullshit." Walked out and didn't come back. Half of the class are Muslim. It's begun.

Reading this morning how the Pakistani Government is refusing to take back two Rochdale child rapists. This shouldn’t be a negotiation, there is no need to negotiate with the Pakistanis. If they don’t comply? £133 million in foreign aid, gone. Send them a bill for previous years too. Tax remittances. 25% sounds fair. In 2021, there was £2.94bn sent to Pakistan. Tax it. Enforce tariffs on Pakistani goods. We have a trade deficit with the Pakistanis. Use it. Suspend visas. Use it as leverage - be cold and calculating. I like the idea of doing it all alongside like-minded nations. A ‘deportation NATO’. I’m sure the Americans would join the effort, with plenty of others. Do it swiftly, brutally, and as one. The Pakistanis would fold by lunchtime. We don’t need to negotiate. We hold all the cards. Use them.

@LydiaTeapots @Woman4W You seem to think that I want to put this girl down. I only want people who want to lose weight to know that you don't have to take a pill, and that you can build better habits and discipline if you lose it slowly without GLP1s.

People swear GLP-1s are 'cheating' and will kill you, but in the past year I've gone down from a size 18 to a size 8 & finally come off SSRIs so if I die, at least I'll die happy. I also finished a 2.5K on my birthday, the furthest I've run in the past 10 years. Go me.

@Woman4W Yes exactly, they enjoy the unnecessary suffering and they see it as a badge of honor. Just like you had to work hard to run your 2.5k. I take pride in the fact that I lost 20kgs without GLP1s because it proves that I am disciplined and committed to things I find important.

@Woman4W I’ve been on them a year and have gone from a 18 to a 12. Other debilitating medical issues I had have also totally disappeared and I actually like getting dressed and leaving the house these days. If this is cheating then I’m happy with it too.

Visited @ODEONCinemas this evening and was met with complete chaos. Over 30 (!) customers waiting to collect food, four hardworking staff members visibly overwhelmed behind the counter, another rudely shouting at the crowd, and two security guards who appeared unable to speak English. The staffing levels were wholly inadequate for what should have been an entirely predictable volume of customers on a Saturday evening in a cinema in London. Groups of youths were shouting and causing significant disruption throughout. Security intervened with none of them. Instead, the staff member who took it upon himself to manage the crowd directed his attention almost exclusively at those of us who were quietly forming an orderly queue away from the chaos - while the actual source of disruption went unchallenged. Our party of four spent over £100 on food and drinks, plus approximately £20 on tickets (I hold an ODEON membership so only had to buy three tickets). When our number was called, one of the crowd-facing staff members - a young man who addressed us in an MLE accent, telling us to “move blud” - singled out those of us standing patiently to the side, while saying nothing to the groups causing the actual disruption. The four staff working behind the counter were, to their credit, doing their best under the circumstances. After a 20-minute wait to collect our food, we made our way to the screens to find nobody scanning tickets. The nearest staff member with a scanner was occupied flirting with customers. When we asked a colleague for assistance, his response was: “can’t you see man’s having a conversation?” We left. It wasn’t worth staying and we can watch the film elsewhere. Total bedlam and atrocious customer service. I expect a full refund on my tickets, which went unused, and a written apology as a minimum, @ODEONCinemas. As a paying member who has committed to a full year upfront, this experience is deeply disappointing - I should’ve gone for the monthly payments and then I could’ve cancelled. Full credit to the four colleagues working behind the counter - they were clearly doing their best in an impossible situation. The others urgently need retraining, or sacking.
