Last week, a gentleman seated close by me on a flight shushed me when I was talking during the flight safety briefing. I apologized. About an hour later, he came over and said, “I’m sorry if I appeared rude. I survived a plane crash three years ago, unlike many people on that flight. So now I try very hard to listen to the safety briefing.” I was blown away by his gentle but passionate manner and I resolve to try to do a little better in the future.
