@Phant0mp0wer @mizumohno I generally agree with you, and I suspect as the game moves through production it will improve. Just saying there can be nuance to these criticisms.

@M00atah @mizumohno At the end of the day it's a video game so there's always gonna be some kind of uncanny valley effect especially if their aiming for photorealism. I think the model looks pretty accurate all things considered.

@mizumohno I personally suspect a lot of it is just the lighting and postprocessing system probably not being in game yet (her hair doesn't generate obvious shadows for example)

@mizumohno Tbf, most of the comments I've seen, excluding the obvious incels/grifters, have completely agreed that Woll is gorgeous, they're criticizing the quality of the model they generated from her face.

Best thing I’ve read from a Platner supporter — because it’s honest about his moral failings (or at least some of them) and honest about the often cynical and mercenary reasoning of those supporting him. Personally, I disagree with the calculation — if a candidate is unacceptable they’re unacceptable — but people will draw lines differently. open.substack.com/pub/theargumen…

@412MJS @Monica55dzrh City planner here: while a 3 foot setback requirement is common in many zoning codes, setbacks can be anything from 0'-20'+ depending on the community and zoning district. Look up what your city's zoning code says first.

@Monica55dzrh I am not sure where you live, but in the USA, there usually is a code that states a fence must be approximately 3 feet back from a neighbor's property line. You can fight this in court. He will have to move the fence by law.

I honestly feel sick every time I pull into my driveway now. My neighbor suddenly installed this huge metal fence directly on our property line and I had absolutely NO warning it was happening. One day everything felt open and normal… the next day it looked like the entrance to a warehouse yard. I cannot explain how drastically it changed the feel of my home. What used to feel welcoming and open now feels cramped, cold, and boxed in. Every time I drive up, it’s like staring at a giant steel wall. And the part that really bothers me? Nobody said a word to me beforehand. No conversation. No heads up. No “hey, just letting you know.” Nothing. I understand people can do what they want on their property, but when you put up something THAT massive directly affecting your neighbor’s space, wouldn’t basic courtesy tell you to at least talk to them first? Maybe I’m overreacting, but it genuinely feels like my property changed overnight and I had zero say in it. What would you honestly do in this situation?

@OzzinaArcane @DashAttackVT In the case of the UK it would be PEGI 16 or 18. The ESRB ratings system only applies in America and is also entirely voluntary. The Supreme Court struck down age restrictions on games in the US in Brown V. EMA (2011).

@Alderan_d @NCyotee This really really depends on the exact wording of the contract and the legal jurisdiction covering it. It's insane to me how many commissions seem to just operate off informal handshake agreements.

Gonna be clear : a cmo3 cannot be mass produce, everyrig is unique! But there's things who can be : - Physics (what make the clothes, the boobs or the hair move) - Parameters (what you need to make it move) - Body mouvment (how the body move) - Face Features (eyes, eyebrows, mouth, nose) Every riggers have their way to work, it's their techniques, their style, their work, and yes they re-use some things! Like, my body movement are mainly the same, like for my eyes and mouth too! My parameters are the same for everything execpt for my physics! And that's normal, it's call a template and I made my own But you give this file, everybody can see how you work, how you do that, or that, they can sell it, they can copy it, etc.. But the worst things, they can EDIT it, they ruin your work by just touching something. That's mainly why we don't wanna share it, we don't want someone to modificate our work. Ofc, there's some execptional case, like if the riggers dispear, that's bastard to don't give you the cmo3 ofc! But for the rest, I'm sorry, I think it's normal to don't give our work.
Akane 🦊🪶 VTuber@NomuraAkane

Sooo with a cmo3 file you can massproduce rigs? Than why is rigging so expensive? Should not than every rigging cost about 100$ if mass producing is possible wit ha cingle cmo3 file? Eather it is a lie that you can mass produce with it, or many rigger scam everyone with there thousends of dollar prices. Only one can be true.

@NateSilver538 Eh, counterpoint, there doesn't seem to be much correlation between infidelity and governance ability, given that most of the people who rank consistently among the top statesmen in history also had well documented affairs (FDR, JFK, David Lloyd George, Churchill, etc).

Idk I guess Platner is still the favorite but there's a tipping point between "this guy is a little rough around the edges" (and maybe that makes him "authentic" scare quotes extremely necessary there) vs. "this guy is just a toxic dude".

@LauraYo14095324 @SenAngusKing @grok You realize that Grok doesn't have magic powers right? It's looking at the same data publicly available. If you have data that refutes my analysis, by all means have at it, but "the magic eight ball told me" just makes you look like an idiot.

@M00atah @SenAngusKing @grok would an exceptional actuary agree that sending non-slip in-tub / in-shower bath mats would cost Medicare less than paying for all the healthcare costs for Medicare recipients whose injuries from a bathroom fall might have been prevented had they had such a mat in place?

Prevention measures like an $11 bath mat could save Americans tens of thousands of dollars.   If Medicare would send these out to every recipient in America, I’ll bet the investment would pay for itself in under a year.

@LauraYo14095324 @SenAngusKing Even if we use your 8-17% number, we get somewhere between $2.8B and $5.9B. so even in the most pessimistic scenario, if they can send the mats for less than quadruple the $11 price tag, it still looks like either a net savings or break even.

@LauraYo14095324 @SenAngusKing The cost of administration and shipping the mats, that totals out to roughly $1.45B. Even if you quadruple the cost of the mats, that still equates to only $2.9B. (2/2)

@LauraYo14095324 @SenAngusKing Not sure what you're putting into Grok, but that math ain't mathing. Elder falls cost Medicare about $31B/yr, with 80% occuring in the bathroom, which roughly equals $25B/YR. There are 70M on Medicare. Assuming we double the $11 cost of bath mats to cover (1/2)

@LauraYo14095324 @SenAngusKing I'm pretty sure the Senator was using hip breaks as an example of potential fall injuries. Bathtub falls could result in any number of breaks, concussions, etc. Your calculation would also need to incorporate rehab costs and increased post-fall mortality rates.

@M00atah @SenAngusKing I did a Grok dive, which stated the number of hip breaks due to slips in the tub are such a small percentage of elderly hip-breaking falls that mass mailing of mats would cost us, taxpayers, MORE than the actual Medicare cost of healing those, who DO break their hips by tub slip.

And just like the NFA taxes that were removed from SBR’s and suppressors by the Big Beautiful Bill, why are these items being registered if there are no taxes? According to the Supreme Court in a ruling from 1937, the NFA is only constitutional because Congress has the legal authority to levy taxes, and the NFA registry is a registration not of the firearms, but of taxes paid. So if the tax on everything covered under the NFA is $0…there is no constitutionally allowable reason for the NFA to exist. The Supreme Court must strike down the NFA.
Rep. Lauren Boebert@RepBoebert

Proud to introduce new legislation that will eliminate the remaining NFA taxes on machine guns and destructive devices. Taxing our constitutional rights is unacceptable and unconstitutional, it’s past time we put an end to it!

@bcnelson0228 @___Sean______ @TheAKGuy Setting the rate to zero isn't the same as eliminating the tax, even if they functionally have the same effect. The existence of a tax is a binary (Y/N) while the tax rate is nominal (0-100%). From legal perspective 0=/= N

@LauraYo14095324 @SenAngusKing Actually, given how inexpensive bath mats are, there is a genuine possibility that just sending them out en masse would be cheaper than the labor necessary to decide and validate who "needs" them.

@countrygobboVT @Goblinfia Again, no one is talking about having explicit content out in the open. Its literally suggestive content at worst on display, anything 18+ still requires ID checks. The whole thing is just not sticking a bunch of content creators in a corner with way less visibility.

Kids exposed to porn from an early age have been documented of having negative fucked up effects later in life. There’s nothing wrong with shielding them from that and making adults do the bare minimum of showing their id. Let the kids visit their favorite cartoon characters on one side and let the adults goon on the other. This isn’t even an issue worth fighting for. It’s common sense

I think its important for us to be comfortable being sexual as adults. Being prudish only leads to people bottling their perfectly normal feeling and desires in unhealthy ways. I've seen a weird amount of hate towards vtubers who do any kind of sexual content, when we shouldn't demonize that. Let people be happy and comfortable with themselves!
