@PaulineHansonOz Maybe put a cap on the amount of homes people can own, doesn't help people who cant afford homes when a large portion of the affluent population have multiple homes renting them out to the ones that cant afford a mortgage

This has been weighing heavily on me, and I can’t stay quiet about it any longer.
I am 71 years old. I’ve been fortunate enough to attend five World Cups, starting in 1986. Those tournaments weren’t just events to me, they were life chapters. They were about connection, about culture, about standing shoulder to shoulder with people from every corner of the world, united by the game we love.
But what I’m seeing now breaks my heart.
The current dynamic pricing strategy for the upcoming World Cup feels completely detached from the very soul of football. Yes, this tournament is being played mostly in the United States, and yes, it’s a premium market. But football was never meant to be a luxury product reserved for the highest bidder. It belongs to the people. Always has. I looked back fondly at USA 94 and everything we did then to fill stadiums and bring the game to life for Americans who were just dipping their toes into the water of the beautiful game.
Right now, it feels like the average, passionate supporter, the ones who save for years, who travel across continents, who bring the color, the noise, the spirit, are being pushed out. Replaced by a model that prioritizes revenue over reality.
That’s a dangerous road because once you lose the authentic fan, you lose the essence of what makes the World Cup special.
I say this not just as a fan, but as someone who has spent a lifetime in and around the game. During my time at EA SPORTS, we stood shoulder to shoulder with FIFA when they needed it most. Our game kept millions of fans connected to football and to the World Cup when trust in the organization was at its lowest. We helped carry the flame.
Which is why this moment feels even more disappointing.
This may well be one of the last World Cups I have the chance to attend and I find myself wondering if the game I’ve loved all my life is slowly drifting away from people like me, and far more importantly, from the next generation who deserve to feel what I felt in 1986.
The World Cup should unite the world. Not divide it by price.
Football deserves better. And so do the fans. Come on @FIFAcom , sort this out… It’s not too late.

@newscomauHQ Waste of fucking time, more or less wished everyone a happy weekend, probably come on Tuesday and ask everyone to tighten their belts and walk to work

@PaulineHansonOz 100% ditch this net zero bull shit, the country is built on natural resources, net zero does absolutely nothing to unlock those resources and make Australia a world player! This woke green agenda needs to be stopped in its tracks immediately!
English

As more servos run empty and fuel rises past $3 a litre, One Nation is the only party with a clear plan to help Australians. Here's what the Government should be doing in this fuel crisis:
Trigger the Liquid Fuel Emergency Act 1984 to force fuel supplies into the regions and stop the price gouging by Big Oil.
Start precautionary rationing so priority supplies for hospitals, emergency services, defence and food production can be saved if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed.
Cut the fuel excise by 100% for 3 months and/or remove GST on fuel which is a tax on a tax. This will give immediate relief to Australians.
Finally, ditch net-zero so we can drill Australia's own oil, rebuild refineries and never get into this situation again.
It's time for the government to step up and demonstrate they actually have a plan. If the government doesn't want panic then they need to lead.
One Nation is happy to show them what to do.

@Liza2Bay @SecScottBessent 🤔 sounds like America is the world's problem 🤔

Iran is the head of the snake? You sure about that?
1951–53: we blockade oil and do a covert campaign against their democratically leader, Mosaddegh.
1953: We overthrow the him for the crime of wanting to nationalize their own country’s oil so the people and nation could thrive. They reinstall the shah
1953–79: Backed the Shah’s authoritarian state. Iran helped us through the Cold War & we got rich off their oil. He made political opposition illegal, arrested, tortured and killed any descenders, stole the country’s wealth during sky high inflation. The people themselves rose up and toppled his tyranny.
1979–80: The Islamic leaders take power and we immediately freeze assets and do sanctions.
1980s: We support and fund Saddam to invade Iran - where ultimately 700,000 Iranians are killed. We gave him the chemicals used in his mustard gas attacks on civilians.
1985–86: Iran Contra: Due to America funding this slaughter, Iran takes hostages. Regan/Bush work with Iran to hold them longer to help them win the presidential elections. We offer weapon sales in exchange. It’s successful.
- Hostages are released on Regan’s inauguration
- We continue to sell them weapons as we also continue to sell Saddam weapons for the continued war in Iran
- We price gouged Iran and used those to create, train and fund the contra terrorists in Nicaragua (even created fake pamphlets of how to better terrorize citizens-cute! And created a fake radio news station telling the citizens their government was toppled and come take their power back-so creative!)
2001 - current: 9/11 happens. Not by Iran Shias and most certainly coordinated with Israel and the CIA
- “A Clean Break” is finally in motion.
- We kill over a million Iraqis
- Topple regime Iran, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Somalia.
- Create, fund and partner with all the terrorists at different points
- Fund the terrorists who publicly sodomizes Gaddafi, after he fully capitulated to our demands
- Bankrupted our nation
- Israel creates and funds not only Hamas, but now ISIS backed militias against the Palestinians
- ISIS militias steal the food & aide as Israel bombs Gaza for over 2 years straight
- Fund the Gaza genocide
- Start a war of choice with Iran
- while Israel attacks deeper in the West Bank and takes more land in Lebanon

Iran is the head of the snake for global terrorism, and through President Trump’s Operation Epic Fury, we are winning this critical fight at an even faster pace than anticipated. In response to Iran’s terrorist attacks against global energy infrastructure, the Trump Administration will continue to deploy America’s economic and military might to maximize the flow of energy to the world, strengthen global supply, and seek to ensure market stability.
Today, the Department of the Treasury is issuing a narrowly tailored, short-term authorization permitting the sale of Iranian oil currently stranded at sea.
At present, sanctioned Iranian oil is being hoarded by China on the cheap. By temporarily unlocking this existing supply for the world, the United States will quickly bring approximately 140 million barrels of oil to global markets, expanding the amount of worldwide energy and helping to relieve the temporary pressures on supply caused by Iran. In essence, we will be using the Iranian barrels against Tehran to keep the price down as we continue Operation Epic Fury.
This temporary, short-term authorization is strictly limited to oil that is already in transit and does not allow new purchases or production. Further, Iran will have difficulty accessing any revenue generated and the United States will continue to maintain maximum pressure on Iran and its ability to access the international financial system.
So far, the Trump Administration has been working to bring around 440 million additional barrels of oil to the global market, undercutting Iran’s ability to leverage its disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
President Trump’s pro-energy agenda has driven U.S. oil and gas production to record levels, strengthening energy security and lowering fuel costs. Any short-term disruption now will ultimately translate into longer-term economic gains for Americans – because there is no prosperity without security.

@TouchlineX But mallorca fans have to pay for the sponsors and club logos, why are they confused, did they think the sponsor paid for their free advertising? 🤔

@AlternativeMUFC Conveniently pointed at the corner, dont let em rile you up

Every single away game is oversubscribed in the thousands. The idea that we would have any spares going for any away day is completely absurd. Empty seats around the edges are common as people stand with their mates and don't stand on their own in row fucking Z.
Andy⚫️⚪️@AndyNufc48
I’m usually very impressed with Man Utd away fans, but empty seats, quiet for the large majority of the game, only every sung about Shearer, quite embarrassing for what is usually a very solid away support.
English

@AlternativeMUFC Hopefully this will put a stop to talk of making him permanent manager, no issues with him as temp, probably a decent choice as interim, but we need a wolrd class expierenced permanent manager to get back to where we used to be, oh and 2/3 world class players to assist fernandes

🚨 Drifter: ARCADIAN EMPEROR has drifted from 2-5 to 11-10 this morning for the Willie Mullins team. The stables second string KIELY'S PLACE has been smashed 4-1 into 2-1 in the 12.49 at Clonmel. 👀 Interesting to see how this plays out.
