There are over 100,000,000 law-abiding gun owners in the United States. Guns are not the root cause of such violence. What we saw yesterday were the despicable actions of three lawless thugs. Democrat-run cities are responsible for the great majority of violence. What do they have in common? Strong gun control laws and soft-on-crime policies. Americans see through this cynical exploitation of senseless tragedy.

Yesterday’s events in Kansas City should move us into action. How many more families need to be torn apart? It’s time for Congress to finally act to ban assault weapons, limit high-capacity magazines, strengthen background checks, and keep guns out of the hands of those who have no business owning them.

@GenFlynn I kind of agree with the concept of the possibility that there could be an EMP device in the balloons payload. It would explain why we're not shooting it down possibly setting it off. If we decide to bring it down sofly we'd have jam it's radios.
