@CoDWXData I hate to say it but it seems as though these setbacks are setting back the development and release of the new NEXLAB website… I hope I’m wrong through 🙏

We know: a lot of things broke when we cut over to new servers. We have been working to fix everything as quickly as possible, including a backlog of NWS changes. We have more things to fix, but most things are now working as of this post. Your continued patience is appreciated!

Did you know that StormNet can also run internationally? We can run it for anywhere in the world. Here's StormNet's tornado and lightning forecasts for the middle east on Thursday.

@Brady_Wx Nadocast forecasts into the Southern part of Canada which is great. I’d love to see StormNet’s capability expand a bit further North as well to match! Also, I see that only US Radar stations are currently available through the app. Will Canadian Radars be added in the future?

@Brady_Wx Hey, Andrew I just downloaded StormNet! Thanks for looking into the previous issue and getting the fixed! Question… Is there any chance you plan on expending services in Canada any time soon? It appears that the tornado risk pot looks stop at the Border which is sad 😭

Long range ensembles are looking very active for the first week of April in terms of severe weather and tornadoes. I am expecting an uptick in severe weather around that time after a relatively quiet period between now and then.

A bald eagle and a snowy owl, both choosing a pine tree perch on the same day. Different locations. Both unforgettable.

@theauroraguy Good question, they aren't that fast (287, 434, 429 according to M2M – there is a third CME in the line) … We will likely see two arrivals – additionally a CIR arrival is expected on 20 March + Sector Boundary Crossing - A lot of ingredients in our space weather soup

The CME is at 0.25 AU now. That makes an arrival on March 19 unlikely and on March 20 more likely.

The whole “cheer for no storms” argument being made by meteorologists is such a cope. The reason nobody will trust you next time there is a tornado outbreak forecasted is because you said the same thing for a setup like today which as of this morning (arguably 2 days ago) was never going to verify. Cheer now and next time there are violent tornadoes people will die because they don’t take the meteorologists seriously.

@MBWeatherCentre That is a model run from January. As far as I am aware, no models have been published yet on this latest CME due to not having coronagraph imagery.

Rise and shine, happy Monday! 💥 AR4392 decided to step up to the plate, popping an eruptive M2 flare. There is a clear CME signature visible in disk imagery and given the regions location, there should be some sort of Earth-directed component, but coronagraph imagery (when it finally updates) will help show the bulk direction.
