Dr. Wilkoff was a great mentor who taught several generations of Electrophysiologist, including myself. He was honest, and straightforward when you needed advice. He will be greatly missed, but will leave a rich legacy.

Irony: The evidence for catheter ablation as primary therapy for AF has never been stronger for hard outcomes & decreasing cost for our complex healthcare system.
Dis-incentivization does not seem like a logical or sustainable solution for the entire ecosystem.
We must continue to look for opportunities to improve alignment between science & policy with equity in access and value prioritized.
