@Samuel_Boivin @RafeefGarbi Ahh yes, they are going to spend 7 trillion globally by 2030 to store peoples cat pictures and other useless junk 🙄 Have you heard of bill C-2 or the others aimed at destroying any privacy you have? Put your critical thinking cap on here.

@MCL_CA @RafeefGarbi It's data centers. If you immediately conclude their main use is for surveillance, when their actual use is to store all the cat pictures of the Internet, then perhaps you need to review laws and regulations if you think your privacy is not plenty enforced already.

Canada First would be supporting local establishments. Mario, an illegal immigrant, wants to end the very programs he used to become successful enough to make money posting anti immigration tweets. He isn't Canada First. He's Mario First, Mario Only.

Speak English. Fast service. Great drinks. Don’t lobby the government for foreign workers. Tim Hortons is cooked. They’re no longer a Canadian company with Canadian values. All Dunkin’ Donuts needs to do is hire our youth. It was always that simple. Canada First.

No, it is not legal. Releasing ticks (or any similar vectors) engineered or loaded with substances intended to affect human health, behavior, or diet—such as inducing an aversion to meat—without consent would violate multiple U.S. federal and state criminal laws. This would likely be treated as a serious offense involving biological agents, assault, poisoning, or potential bioterrorism-related crimes. uscode.house.gov

@Craptain_Crunch @WesternMichU Against the United States? Against all of humanity! Parker Crutchfield and Blake Hereth should be stripped of any credentials and ostracized by anyone at the university that has an ounce of morals. Modern day eugenists that are an embarrassment and a disgrace to your school.

@WesternMichU Have you done anything to address the fact that you have faculty members advocating for bioterrorism against the United States? x.com/TFTC21/status/…
TFTC@TFTC21

A peer-reviewed paper published last year in the journal Bioethics by two professors at Western Michigan University School of Medicine argues that it is "morally obligatory" to genetically engineer ticks to spread alpha-gal syndrome, a permanent condition that makes you violently allergic to red meat. The paper is called "Beneficial Bloodsucking." Their argument: if eating meat is morally wrong, then preventing the spread of a disease that forces people to stop eating meat is also morally wrong. Scientists should gene-edit lone star ticks to enhance their ability to carry alpha-gal syndrome and expand their range into urban environments to infect more people. They call this a "moral bioenhancer." They frame releasing genetically modified disease-carrying ticks as a "vaccination" that only "infringes" on your bodily autonomy rather than "violating" it. The distinction, apparently, is that a tick bit you instead of a government official holding you down. Alpha-gal syndrome is not mild. The CDC estimates up to 450,000 Americans are already affected. Cases have surged 100-fold in the last decade. Symptoms include anaphylaxis. There is no cure. Alpha-gal cases are exploding across the United States. The lone star tick's range is expanding far beyond its historical territory. And two academics at a medical school published a paper arguing this is a good thing that should be accelerated. At what point do we stop treating papers like this as fringe academic exercises and start asking whether anyone is already acting on them?

Sometimes the most important thing on your to-do list is taking a moment to breathe. 💛 This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re appreciating the spaces on campus that help us slow down, reset and reconnect. One walk, sunset and deep breath at a time. ✨

In Vancouver BC, this man was pulled over and told by police that he had to come with them because a psychiatrist on the roadside labeled him “certifiable.” No warrant, no appointment, no assessment, no paperwork, no due process, no rule of law. Just a doctor saying that if he didn’t come with him right then and there for an involuntary admission that he would be arrested. I support Mental Health access and resources, but is this the Canada you want? An Independent Alberta will do better. It will protect your rights from government overreach and have meaning full supports available.

@raghu_venugopal You're so propagandized. People are just driving their car to work. What if I referred to bikers as energy over consumers spewing excessive heat everywhere? It's equally as stupid. The hospital problem is 100% real. If you were in NB the waiting time for offload could be days.

Toronto's problem isn't health conscious bike commuters not spewing carbon from their tailpipes. It's when EMS arrives at the hospital there are no ER beds - for hours - to offload. If there's a Toronto ER nurse, doctor or EMS paramedic who disagrees - please speak up.

Reality Check: Leaving Canada means leaving the Canada Pension Plan. Setting up a standalone Alberta Pension Plan risks massive administrative costs. It leaves local seniors exposed to the volatile swings of a single-commodity economy.

@EngSense @RafeefGarbi Energy and mining are real, exportable products. We don't need huge surveillance centers, because let's be real, that's what they are.

@whiskyczar @MPelletierCIO Your experience is 100% accurate to what the numbers tell us. Canada has been divided into two distinct societies with different realities. The old guard who is insulated from the realities of our declining economic situation & the people who have to face it everyday.

@MPelletierCIO My peer group ranges in age from 60 to late 70’s. All are retirees to Kelowna. Most are well monied. They think everything is great. Market is up PMMC is a hero. My son (36) and his peers in Calgary range from anti Carney to pro-separation. Most live on cells = no surveys.

@JacquesThibs @MPelletierCIO It's not about feelings. The numbers tell us Canada is circling the toilet of economic decline. Feelings are fine whatever way you have them but are irrelevant when they hit the hard wall of mathematical truth. What exactly would make you believe Canada is "on the right track"?

@MPelletierCIO Yeah, definitely on the right track. I think those who don’t see that are still in 2022. I understand, they never felt they got revenge for Trudeau, but we need to move on and build a positive future now.

Not a chance. The use of reasonable force is already permitted. PP wants permission for home owners to use unreasonable force in defense of their home. How American is that!

Who supports @PierrePoilievre new law initiative equivalent to the USA Castle law that would provide you the legal framework to protect your family & home from invaders !

@raghu_venugopal Right but you're going to take a political side on this, like it's not happening in ALL other provinces. Like it's not worse in other provinces. Like this is the fault of the particular political party you're against. GTFO of here with your partisan bullshit.

Hospital job cuts, ER overcrowding, hallway medicine spilling over into chair medicine, the waiting room is Charles Dickens, admitted patients with no hospital bed in the ER for 2-3 days and hiding the hallway healthcare data. That's the Ford legacy. barrietoday.com/local-news/res…
