I would imagine some people might disagree with this contextualization but it's a moot point. The facts appear to be that he was disarmed, shot, and then the fact that he was armed at some point prior to the shooting is being used as a justification for the shooting. That's what should concern all of us gun owners.

Typical American politics of the situation aside, I carry a gun every day. That shouldn't give LE a pretext to kill me, or that pretext discourage me from exercising that right. There are Second Amendment implications here.

Video from another angle shows this specific weapon in Border Patrol's hands while the first shot was fired. Unless the victim had a second weapon - zero evidence produced so far - it seems clear he didn't fire it.

The case law on this is clear: Seven federal circuit courts have already ruled that filming law enforcement is protected by the First Amendment. Exercising your freedom of speech does not make you a "domestic terrorist." That should transcend politics.

If MASKED men, in unmarked vehicles, with guns, approach your car, stand in front of your car, or attempt to remove you from your vehicle without proper identification, you are NOT at fault for being afraid and stepping on the gas.
The law gives you the right to reasonable force when you fear for your life.
