I really like how teams have begun running Y Cross with a shallow underneath the Climb/Cross Creates a Middle Hi/Lo on ISLBs & Weak Curl/Flat defender making a larger window for the cross Also love how all the routes create a “Flood” effect crossing the centerline into the QBs vision from the starting point in the progression.

This is a good counter scheme vs guys that are spilling, Condensed WR cracks on the force defender and the h back leads for the alley defender. Gets the ball bounced outside with the h back on the safety. Nice scheme @CoachWillStein @oregonfootball

After explosive plays in 2 of their first 3 drives pulling the guard v ODU, Hoosiers go unbalanced and take a shot on their next P&10 Few more good examples from this game to come, including what goes into an effective P&10 sequence, coming in our @FootballScoop P&10 Study.

3 ways Eric Morris used Switch Release concepts to draw receivers open for Drew Mestemaker⬇️🧵 1. Leverage Pin (Post & In) is already a great quarters beater. But the switch release provides instant leverage for the post.

Mesh Concept | Universal Answer Any hash. Any defense.
Call it anywhere. Formations, shifts, and motions change the picture.
The QB progression never changes. Pre-Snap: Alert Okie (6-step speed out) Progression 1 - Rail 2 - Low Mesh 3 - OTB 4 - High Mesh Rules & Landmarks Rail – Aim heels of #1 → bottom numbers. Low Mesh – Align +4–5 from OT.
Run at 4 yards. Set the mesh and stay on the move. High Mesh – Align +4 from OT.
Run at 5 yards. Set depth and read grass under LBs. OTB – Push to 10 yards over the ball.
Do not shut it down early. OL Protection – 5-Man Scat
RB releases on Rail and must run off the coverage if the ball isn’t thrown immediately. Creates traffic vs man.
Horizontal stretch vs zone.
Gets RB and playmakers involved in space. Mesh Rail is the base.
Variations change the picture, not the progression.
Compliment play is Mesh Pivot. Are you teaching Mesh as a coverage answer…or as a progression the QB can trust every snap?
