@MESternberg @DrBillLombardi @JTiwanaMD @UWCathLab @UWMedHeart Sure. The SVG has had 5 PCIs before and there is recalcitrant ISR of the distal stent (visible in the video). When an SVG starts failing, there’s really no way to keep it open and PCI of the SVG is plagued with adverse events (no reflow etc). So we go for the natives.

New data from ERAS: The AVERAGE number of applications per applicant for Cardiology Fellowship is 90 (!!!!). That's right...NINETY applications per applicant. IMGs=115 apps per. (1 of 2)

1/4 - The Mystery You are admitting a patient with confusion. As part of the initial work-up, an ECG is obtained. It is markedly abnormal. 🤔 What vitamin deficiency could lead to this ECG finding?

@VictorDayan1 @Hragy @ACCinTouch @AHAMeetings IVUS would be best at sorting this out-- we usually use a threshold of a CSA <6.0 mm as being "important". But if we're honest, we have to say that the patients enrolled in the original RCTs are probably different from most of the patients who we revascularize for LM dz today.

Just can’t stop surprising myself in the incorrectly applied logic behind the @ACCinTouch @AHAMeetings guidelines. There 0 trials that compare PCI vs medical treatment for patients with LM.

@LeivaOrly It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to cardiology because it’s ordered on nearly every ER patient. Tools that aren’t used properly cause more problems

High sensitivity troponin is rolling out soon at one of the hospitals we cover. Thoughts and prayers for my co-fellows on consults that week. #tropomania

Here’s a situation many of us have seen in the ICU or ED: “It looked like there was ST elevation on the monitor but when I took a 12 lead it was gone?!” A STEMI went MIA? Here’s a #tweetorial all about why ST segments look different on monitors. #FOAMed #FOAMcc 1/
