I get really annoyed when I see a restaurant suggest the gratuity starting at 18% . It used to be 15%. The owner is suggesting that YOU give the employee a raise. So they don't have to. 🤬

Happy 85th, Smokey Robinson! 🎶 What's a favorite Smokey written and/or released song of yours? 🎶 Born William Robinson Jr. in Detroit on February 19, 1940, the "King of Motown" formed the Five Chimes in 1955. They were the Matadors for a short time & in 1965 became the Miracles. With Smokey at the helm, writing, producing & singing lead, they had 26 top 40 hits. Robinson was also the VP of Motown Records from 1961- 1988, when it was sold. In his lifetime, Smokey released 25 albums with the Miracles and 24 albums as a soloist and written or co-written, around 4,000 songs. Smokey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1990, and received the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for his lifetime contributions to popular music in 2016. Fun Smokey fact- he got his nickname from an uncle because he liked to watch Cowboy movies as a child. It was Smokey Joe, but it has been shortened.

@proud_native_am I'm sorry but I didn't. As I stated in my original post, I'm on a fixed income. It's hard to spend over $20 on a tee shirt no matter how much you agree with the sentiment. Trying to live, buy food and pay your bills on less than $1000 a month won't allow for such luxuries.
