LISTEN TO ME, @SPURSOFFICIAL. TO SAVE THE SEASON, YOU NEED TO APPOINT ANGELOS POSTECOGLOU. HE IS THE ONLY MANAGER THE PLAYERS RESPECT, AND YOU KNOW THEY WILL ALL GO THROUGH BRICK WALLS FOR HIM. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO MESS AROUND. YOU NEED TO ACT NOW. #AngeBack.

@FootballForeca3 @swaethfc Of course getting £27m will be better. The target should be Risser, Chevalier or Roefs at around £40m. I don’t agree the low sale price prevents us spending £40m on one of the above. That’s the risk averse nature of how we operate. We have the funds to spend £40m on a GK.

@MGCoys @swaethfc Accurate for PSR calculations. But getting 27m will be better. Knowing Lange, he will not pay €40m for Chevalier or Risser and Spurs might end up with another gamble because of Vicario's low sale price.

Spurs are actually so bad in the transfer market these days. Vicario is clearly wanted in Serie A. Still an Italian international. £17m does not get half a quality replacement. £17m does not even get a promising 19 year old now.
Lilywhite Rose@Lilywhite_Rose

#thfc Inter Milan are closing in on a £17m summer move for Guglielmo Vicario. Piero Ausilio met with Vicario’s agent Valerio Giufridda on Wednesday & there seems to be a mutual understanding that it will be best for both parties to go separate ways in the summer @Matt_Barlow_DM

@swaethfc @FootballForeca3 How costs are accounted for in the P&L. The fee of £17m is amortised over the life of the contract. £17m / 5 = £3.4m. So with 2 years left on his contract his book value is £6.8m. £17m sale price minus £6.8m book value = £10.2m profit in the P&L. This matters for PSR calcs

@WellOnside The PL has the highest average. But I would also back Barca, Real, PSG & Munich to be 4 of the top 5 in the PL. They would do fine in Europe too. So agree & disagree.

50% of La Liga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 teams would struggle in the Championship. Right or wrong? The Premier League is without doubt, the toughest league in world football. I don’t care what anybody says. From top to bottom, it has the highest level on average, by a quite a bit. Clubs like Madrid, PSG and Munich, effectively, have a bunch of games against Championship level teams team, where they can rotate players if they want/need. That then allows them to start UCL games much fitter and fresher. Gareth Bale even admitted that Madrid pretty much focus on the Champions League, knowing that they can get through most games in La Liga with a rotated squad. Premier League teams simply do not have that luxury, hence requiring much bigger squads, which then brings its own problems. Stick Madrid, Munich and PSG in the EPL, and they would be Top 6, but they wouldn’t be nailed on winners, and they certainly wouldn’t do as well in Europe. Agree? Or am I wrong?

Hot take. Most runners don’t need super shoes. They need better training. Every time a new carbon shoe drops the running world loses its mind. “This shoe will change everything.” “It’s 3% faster.” “It’s the future.” Meanwhile the same runners are still: • skipping strength training • running every run too fast • sleeping 5 hours a night • eating like a raccoon at a gas station But yeah… The shoe is the problem. Look, super shoes are incredible technology. Elite runners can absolutely benefit from them. But the average runner? You’re not losing 5 minutes in a half marathon because of your midsole foam. You’re losing it because: your pacing is chaotic your easy runs aren’t easy and your long runs turn into survival marches. Carbon plates are amazing. But they are not a substitute for: consistency smart training and patience. Sometimes the harsh truth is this: The biggest performance upgrade is not a $280 shoe. It’s fixing the boring stuff nobody wants to talk about. Sleep. Strength. Easy miles. Discipline. But those things don’t look very exciting on Instagram. So we buy more foam. #runningshoes

@InvertTheWing Spot on. £600m. Lose £250m. £350m - still the 6th richest club in the UK… Likely £300m from selling 10 players (£30m a player average) equals £650m still top 10 richest clubs in the world… Because of our revenues no reason why we have to “fire sale” big value players

Look, realistically, I do not think the squad exodus is going to be as big as people think. Tottenham will lose around £250 Million if they go down. Romero, Van De Ven, Vicario, and Porro will leave. They will raise around £200 Million. Then £50 Million somehow else.

@matthayesthfc Our non-footballing revenues would give us the largest budget in the Championship. Our wages to revenue is 42%, so theoretically we can lose 50% revenue & not have to strip any wages. And then there’s parachute payments. We’d have record revenues in the Championship.

@Simon_Ingari My response to that as a manager would be if you are sick you are sick. You take the whole day off. You are either sick or you aren’t. If you are sick you don’t work that day at all.

Taking a sick day in: 2008 “I’m taking a sick day.” HR: Approved. 2026 Hello, I woke up feeling quite sick and was wondering if it’s okay if I take the morning off to see the doctor. If I feel better, I will come in. If I don’t, I will work remotely this afternoon. I will try to make up any time lost by working overtime when I return. HR: Denied.

@RicharlisonSZNx Don’t think we need that many points. Expecting West Ham to get 21 points from 12 games when their run is harder than ours is a lot.

@Regista10_ @CraigHope_DM Understand the frustration. Spurs fan sat in the south stand. Was clear he wanted to come off. Didn’t & then makes it worse. Seen Thomas Frank ignore Bergvall who clearly needed to come off.

@CraigHope_DM When Newcastle fans see Bruno signal he wants to come off but the manager leaves him on & make the injury worse, they get angry Craig. When they see him do it again weeks later, and now he is out for 2 month, they get enraged. It's nowt to do with fuckin amnesia mate. #nufc

@DaleJohnsonBBC Right, so the tweet I replied to isn’t correct. & the next tweet wasn’t visible as a thread like the preceding tweets either. It’s not a caveat it’s an incorrect statement. You said it “should be Romero’s 4th red card”. It shouldn’t.

@DaleJohnsonBBC Incorrect. If he’d been sent off 1st time vs Brentford would’ve been impossible for him to play vs Liverpool & the 2nd time vs Brentford because he’d have been banned.

That should be Cristian Romero's 4th red card since the start of December. Along with his red card against Liverpool. The KMI Panel said he should have been sent off in both games against Brentford. #MNUTOT

If #THFC stick to the 3-4-3 then the main signing Lange needs is actually a LWB to rotate with Udogie. Fans can see how much better Spurs look with him in the side. Provides natural width and energy down the left flank. And provides Xavi a lot of freedom to float and create.
FootballSpursFPL@FootballForeca3

@TalkTHFC__ The 3-4-3, 3-4-2-1 is better for Spurs as it profiles a lot of the players better. Also fair play to Odobert for improving as a player and RW. Solanke's ball holding up helps a lot.
