@__Liberty4All_ @alfkkifine Well it’s just about making good choices. Not just with your prospective partner just in life. I waited till 43 to marry and my wife is the perfect balance for me. My coach / best mate also picked a legend of a wife.

@alfkkifine why would any man ever date or marry in such an unbalanced society?

This is the most dangerous double standard in modern relationships. When a wife is angry, society allows her to yell, break things, hurl insults, and be entirely unhinged because she is just "expressing her emotions." But the exact second a husband matches her energy, raises his voice, or shows visible frustration, he is suddenly labeled "scary" or "abusive." Society has taught women to weaponize a man's natural size and stoicism against him. He is forced to swallow his anger and remain perfectly calm while taking verbal abuse, just so he isn't painted as a monster in his own home

@Rugby_Scoop *Potentially an advantageous position for Wales. Wales haven’t yet passed the line of the infringement, there is nothing quantifiable to say an advantage has occurred. A subjective decision made errantly with no quantifiable advantage. I can’t simplify this any further.

#RugbyScoop A lot of fans calling out Matthew Carley on this one. But he did call “Advantage Over” Louis Rees-Zammit could’ve done better here 🚨 4 v 2 situation, yet he still goes for contact. That’s poor awareness and a costly play from him with 10 minutes to go in the game

@gallagherbren58 I guess the question the referee has to ask is did the non player have a material impact on the Welsh players ability I defend there?

@caerau10 Point is valid. As a referee I can totally see me thinking should I stop this. That being said two things can be true at the same time and depends where you want 2come down. Stop the game because of a ball followable. Play and see what happens as no material impact a genius try.

Ridley Scott says modern movies are so “sh*t” that he just rewatches his own movies. “We’re drowning in mediocrity.” “The quantity of movies today, literally globally – millions. Most of it is sh*t.” “60% – eh, 25% is not bad, only 5% is great.”

@Nigelrefowens @QuadeCooper Quade see ur point. Having the referees mic’d up does give u some window? I do think there is a balance though as Nigel points out. It could become a blame game. Ultimately there is so much grey/subjectivity in rugby it’s why we love it. Some days u get things some days u don’t.

@QuadeCooper I get your point. We do that via whistle watch in a way. And look at the fuss some kicked up after the SA v Aus game can you imagine the press conference . It would be a disaster. Yet the same ones calling out the referee from the weekend for some decisions. Hypocrites 🙈😂

Grant Williams doing his utmost best to milk a penalty. He’s been doing this all game, luckily James Dolman didn’t reward him for his theatrics. Refs must penalise players who do this

@TightFive_Rugby I will remember the 2005 Lions more fondly than this series. It would 100% have been 3-0 in NZ or SA.

@RefereeSouth The rolling around. The gesticulation by the players. Don’t miss it. In rugby you see 200 impacts a game! And it’s just gotten on with. I can just enjoy the challenge of refereeing the game rather than herding cats! Looks a yellow to me though on view. So good job!

@rugby_ap … accept this & support the officials as it’s so subjective / grey. I’ve always found so long as you can match (credible) words to the pictures the discussion provided learning in the bar for everyone involved. I’ve learned so much from players & coaches post game listening! 2/2

Think we have to accept that there are two irreconcilable flaws in rugby: 1) because it’s so dynamic with so many bodies in motion you’re never going to get people adhering perfectly to the law - it’s as much about what you penalise as what you don’t. 2) refereeing decisions consequently have an outsized influence in this sport vs others - precisely because they have to make so many (*not* penalising something is also a decision). These two points combine to make rugby, I think, uniquely perceptible to subjectivity. Rugby fans are no more likely to argue a decision than any other sports fans (we need to stop the self flagellation over this) we just have more scope to. There’s no way to make the game more clear cut and retain the dynamism that we love the sport for. And there’s no point pretending that subjective refereeing calls don’t sometimes determine the outcome of a match. There’s no squaring this circle I’m afraid - we just have to live with it because it’s a fundamental feature of the sport we love. We just have to remember that we love the sport *in spite* of its flaws.
Harry Jones@haribaldijones

@Slipcatch @89combo @CharlieFelix @BMcSport We don’t bash refs on one call b/c our sport has over 500 decisions a match (incl non-calls). Here’s 16 breakdown leading to Jake Gordon’s try: we ain’t gonna rip in to all 16, which we’d need to do, if we were evaluating the ref who had an a overall consistent game, I feel.

@rugby_ap I think this is a good take. As a rugby official myself I do take it personally when I make a dreaded “game deciding” decision & it comes up “wrong.” But it comes back to their not being one single point of failure in a rugby match. I love that culturally players / coaches … 1/2

@pTah_XV You’ve not entirely understood the premise of the IMG, and how it was integrated into the HIA process. As in, where the thresholds were set, and why, as well as the long term nature of tracking HAEs, rather than using single HAEs for welfare reasons. There’s no misuse here

@Plas08 This debate seems to miss something important though. The Aussie defenders were chop tackling and not wrapping their arms around him before he dived. The question begs, if the Aussies defended legally, would he have scored?

Not sure if I’ve missed part of the debate here but it appears this was pre-planned. The involvement of Itoje also needs to be assessed as he clearly pushes him from behind to help launch him.
