If you own an EV in Georgia, make sure you sign up for the Georgia Power EV rate; $.01/kWh to charge overnight. Or approximately a total of $0.75-$1.25 for 300 miles.

@AFCEMA Why is the recommendation to turn off a/c? Centralized HVACs that actually filter the air seem like a good thing in this scenario?

We are investigating the numerous reports of a haze and strong chemical smell across Fulton County. We are investigating and will pass along any and all information we receive. If you have concerns, STAY INSIDE, CLOSE windows and doors, TURN OFF A/C & other ventilation system.

Why is recruiting so broken? "I have a software engineer role, are you interested?" Oh, do tell me more... No, seriously, tell me more. I can't respond to super vague messages on the off-chance that it's a fit....

Renewables made up 20% of all power generation in 2022, and is still growing quickly!

Can we change "it's" to be possessive instead of the contraction "it is"? This grammatical absurdity has gone on long enough.

@mandrillapp Looks like Mandrill has been down for about 20 mins now, giving 502 Bad Gateway. Are you aware of the issue? It's causing problems for us 🚨

@GreglK @DukeEnergy There are companies that do that, where the owner doesn't pay for the equipment, but pays the company for the solar used every month as if they were the utility.

@GreglK @DukeEnergy That's the point though, it takes an astounding amount of investment for every little bit of reliability. (Think putting power lines in the ground) That's why I mention solar and battery; 100% reliable, reduces power bill and utility pays you for excess energy.

@GreglK @DukeEnergy No such thing, 100% reliable is impossible. Think of the infrastructure in place for you to get power from a power plant that's tens or hundreds of miles away; and if there is any issue in between, you lose power. That's why there's an argument for microgrids.
