Kenya plans to supply water to Turkana oil fields through a 90km pipeline from Turkwel Dam.
The project will support oil production and also provide water for irrigation and local use.
@Loupwalimoe@moneyacademyKE Turkwel Dam (also known as the Turkwel Hydroelectric Power Station or Turkwel Gorge Dam) is located in West Pokot County, Kenya.3944b6

I’ve just come across this disturbing video from Nandi hills .
A group of youths were simply playing pool.
Police walk in. The youths comply.
And yet they’re heavily beaten anyway.
So I’m honestly asking, what was the offence here?
We’re told daily by murkomen that we now have a disciplined police service.
Is this what that discipline looks like?
Accountability isn’t being anti-police.
It’s being pro-justice.
Those officers should be identified and arrested.
This is a terrible sight to behold. Why allow people to build at the very site of crossing? Wildlife - the great migration is what sustains the Reserve. This issue has come in the media before but apparently nothing was ever done about it. REALLY why this?

William Ruto is desperate. His government has squandered away any legitimacy that it had left, and has now decided to engage in a demeaning smear campaign against those it considers to be leaders of the movement. But there are no leaders. Kenyans, all across the country and from all walks of life, have repeatedly expressed their collective anger and decided to exercise their rage as permitted by the supreme law of the land, the Constitution.
On Monday, government bloggers unleashed fake WhatsApp messages targeting me personally. Kenyans on Twitter were very quick to debunk them by highlighting the inconsistencies. Today, the same bloggers have taken it a notch higher and created more inflammatory, fake WhatsApp chats, and even attempted to clone my voice in WhatsApp audios. It’s really sad for a government to be spending taxpayers money to spread malicious falsehoods.
So many resources are being spent to try and discredit Kenyans exercising their constitutional rights. Why does the government always have to take the hard instead of the easy path, which is to listen and engage the citizens? Why would a government be against calls for accountability and good governance?
Yesterday there were protests in 26 towns, with Kenyans protesting against corruption, poor governance, lack of accountability and the unlawful killing of peaceful protestors. Itumbe and his propaganda machine still want you to believe that all this is choreographed and funded by a few people. If the funding allegations had any truth to them, the security agencies would be able to gather evidence and arrest the people involved. Instead, they are assaulting , abducting, and murdering innocent people. Yesterday, the government had goons and plainclothes officers arresting people and asking them if they have seen me. They even impounded a car we used to go to the last protest, expecting me and the owner to show up. This desperation is embarrassing.
Itumbe, himself, is a man who was a victim of police brutality in December 2021, and we rallied to his aid until he was released. Now he is supporting that same violence being perpetrated against innocent citizens, and shielding the government from being held accountable.
I have instructed my lawyers to take action against those who have created that fake video. In a civilized democracy, a government which constantly claims to respect the rule of law but is responsible for engaging in unlawful acts against its own citizens, would have resigned by now. No attempt to create false narratives through smear campaigns will take our focus away from demanding that #RutoMustGo
If anything happens to me or my family, look no further than State House because that’s the man who would wish and has the power to harm us. It’s also important to tell the country that l was repeatedly called on 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th June 2024 to meet with him but l declined. He should get over the fact that l refused to honour his invite. I don’t shake hands with people who have innocent blood on their hands. I shall not be intimidated.
Death doesn’t scare me. In the end we shall win. Aluta Continua… #RutoMustGo
There is only one demand on the table: Zakayo @WilliamsRuto RESIGNS with his entire government. Everything else will flow from that. Asking him to do x,y,z contradicts this singular demand. #RutoMustGo
