@Keir_Starmer So are you saying @kier_starmer that the 1996 Immigration and Asylum act has failed? What makes you think that digital ID will be any better? No one can legally work in the UK without hard evidence of the "right to work". #DigitalID

I know you're worried about the level of illegal migration into this country. Digital ID is another measure to make it tougher to work illegally here, making our borders more secure. Ours is a fairer Britain, built on change, not division.

The BBC and Democrats actually make me physically ill. This is how the British public broadcaster decided to react to the announcement of Charlie Kirk's assassination. Shame on you. She's actually laughing.

Possibly this is a minority and unpopular view, but I am still happy that Kier Starmer is our Prime Minister. That's all that I have to say on that.

@ExResurgam @RupertLowe10 One person freedom is another's constraint. So you are saying you would be happy if someone took exception to you, rightly or wrongly, that they can encourage others to cause you or your family harm?

@DanDarkViking @RupertLowe10 But that is not what he is saying. Both are wrong. Are you, therefore, suggesting it is acceptable to allow people to promote genocide and while others can incite violence? Give your head a big wobble and think about what you said. 🙄

So just to be clear, SAYING "death to" the foreign military which is presently committing genocide: ❌ wrong, unacceptable, outrageous, no. CAUSING death to a civilian population because of their ethnicity by that same foreign military force: ✅ fine, normal, absolutely, yes.

@QprEver No, most definitely NOT! They may be incompetent but unlike the the Tories of the previous 14 years, not self-serving nor unprincipled. More like clumsy and naive, albeit with good intentions. Note, the word Tory derives from Irish tóraí, meaning "outlaw". Says it all really!

@AllisonPearson I spent the hottest day that summer taking up concrete with a pick axe while my husband plumbed in a washing machine. Now we are exhausted in the heat & unable to move beyond getting another glass of water.

Some of us are old enough to remember the long hot summer of 1976. The tarmac on the pavements melted and the lamp-posts dipped like wading birds. This is not a heatwave. 🌞

@wearebackhome @AllisonPearson Yes it did! I was there. Busses churned up the road surface, & I remember my wife & I running across the road, her flip-flop stuck to the tarmac & she got hot tarmac all over her foot. I also remember it being so hot at night my wife going for a walk in her flimsy nightdress.

I'm tired of this passport nonsense. It's unacceptable. The EU clearly doesn't want UK tourists. Stop accepting the lie that the passport control pain is due to Brexit. It isn't. It's due to the EU's spiteful desire to make everything as much a pain as possible to punish us for Brexit. But you know what? The UK accounts for the largest number of tourists to Spain. The largest to Portugal. The second largest to France. The second largest to Greece . The third largest to the Netherlands, and so on. If they don't want us, Turkey does excellent and inexpensive package beach holidays. Egypt, too. SE Asia offers a world of inexpensive wonder, beauty and delight. All would bend over backwards to redirect a large chunk of those Britons who currently have their beach holidays in Spain—or certainly wouldn't make life deliberately a pain in the backside because they didn't like the way we voted. You'll see that if we swap the Costa Del Sol for Antalya, the passport queues will suddenly and magically change from being 'an unchangeable result of Brexit' to something easily solvable.

BREAKING: King Charles III of the United Kingdom enrages MAGA world by proclaiming that Canada will remain "strong and free" amidst Donald Trump's efforts to turn it into the "51st state." And it gets even better... "The ‘True North’ is indeed strong and free," Charles said during an address on the first day of Canadian Parliament. The British King is Canada's nonpartisan head of state even though the real power resides with the Prime Minister. "Every time I come to Canada, a little more of Canada seeps into my bloodstream and from there straight to my heart," the king said. "I’ve always had the greatest admiration for Canada’s unique identity, which is recognized across the world for bravery and sacrifice in defense of national values and for the diversity and kindness of Canadians," he added. While Charles did not mention Donald Trump by name, it was clear that he was referring to the American president during one particular section of his speech. "Canada faces another critical moment. Democracy, pluralism, the rule of law, self-determination and freedom are values which Canadians hold dear and ones which the government is determined to protect,” Charles said. Democracy, pluralism, the rule of law, self-determination, and freedom are all self-evidently under threat from Donald Trump who is an authoritarian, a xenophobe, a convicted felon, a neo-imperialist, and a would-be dictator. The king's remarks come amidst Trump's pointless and economically destructive trade war with our northern neighbor. There are 25% tariffs in place on many Canadian goods with similar policies in place on Mexico as well. "We must face reality: since the Second World War, our world has never been more dangerous and unstable. Canada is facing challenges that, in our lifetimes, are unprecedented," said Charles. He observed that "many Canadians are feeling anxious and worried about the drastically changing world around them." While the king's speech was provided by the Canadian government, he was permitted to insert his own remarks as well, allowing Canada and the British monarch to present a united front against American expansionism. Please retweet and ❤️ if you think that Canada should stand strong against Donald Trump!

An abhorrent attack close to my constituency. Women all across the UK are being put at risk, and we're told to welcome even more of these unchecked foreign young men? I want them deported. Not some, not most. All. Every single one needs to be removed and never allowed back.
