I take 4 girls to a choir practice around Tooting Beck common( behind SHR).- This is a car pool situation where one parent takes 4 children from 4 different families. For the last 2 years the journey takes 20 minutes on a bad day. Since the LTN it's been getting worse and worse. Not better. Today I ended up ' displaced' as far as Tooting Beck tube station. Then had to come back via Furzedown, but not directly. I had to go south of Furzedown via parts of Tooting and approach Streaham common station by going in a northerly direction from there. Complete madness!! I saw people driving their cars across parts of Tooting Beck common in sheer fustration. People driving on the wrong side of the road to get to a junction they had been crawling towards for 20 minutes. If this is making Streatham Wells safer on the roads, I can assure you it is making it extremely hazardous in all the areas directly around. In the meantime, driving through Tooting or Crystal palace is fine!!!!! Completely nuts......world has gone mad! @jonathanbkr @theJeremyVine Its not permitted. There are double yellow lines plus double yellow lines on the pavement kerb stone. No unloading or loading at any time. Blue badge holders have an exemption, but the guy didn't flash the badge nor have it on display so 🤷‍♂️

It's #CleanAirDay and we need new ideas to clean up our air! We asked the Tory Council to find fairer, more progressive ways to charge for parking and enable active travel - but last night they voted for the same old regressive blanket increase to your parking charges.

@jwmurphy @wandscycling @wandbc This was a TFL plan that they consulted on and when I went along and questioned a few bits regarding who they had researched it with regarding Disabilities and potential issues, they started stuttering and admitted they hadn’t really checked it through throughly enough

@MO5B40 @FFishponds @wandbc I spoke to the groundsman, the team were playing. Their captain has been told not to do this before and they did it again. Do you think it is logical and acceptable to leave their bags on the children’s equipment?

Hey @wandbc does this seem fair? It’s bad enough children can only use the Fishponds play area when the Cricket pitch is booked but then when we turn up the cricketers have taken over the play area! @FFishponds

@MO5B40 @FFishponds @wandbc All I ask myself is when they arrive at the pitch and have acres to choose from to place their bags, why would they think the children’s equipment is the best place? If the council placed conditions on their use to avoid the kids play area that would help. They don’t need it!
