The US-Israeli war on Iran is disrupting fuel supplies to Africa, pushing countries like Ghana, South Africa and Kenya to seek relief from Nigeria’s huge Dangote Refinery, but one plant may not meet soaring demand. Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports from Lekki in Nigeria.

An individual earning R100,000 per month in South Africa takes home about R67,965 after PAYE and payroll taxes, but once costs for private services like education and healthcare are included, a large portion of that income is eroded. dailyinvestor.com/finance/126023…

China is a superpower with world-class infrastructure, yet you never see its neighbors demanding open borders or claiming to be one people to infiltrate its economy. In Asia, a neighbor's success triggers competition, not a migration crisis. When Vietnam sees China or South Korea winning, the response isn't "let us in," it's "how do we build our own?" They prioritize national development over regional dependence. This stands in stark contrast to the dependency syndrome seen in parts of Africa, where functional economies are often pressured to dissolve borders under the guise of pan-Africanism. While Asia defines itself by sovereignty and distinction, many regional movements elsewhere prioritize assimilation over self-sufficiency. Asia isn't building a borderless union, it's a network of sovereign competitors. Africa has a lot to learn from Asia.

People are spreading propaganda with this photo. You can clearly see it was a friendly Fire. Iran has no capacity to destroy US Air Force planes. Their power was obliterated. 🤣🤣🤣

Things that make South Africa better: 1. Religious tolerance – South Africans of all religions live peacefully together without anyone believing their religion is superior. The dame cannot be said about many African countries. 2. Democracy – South Africans can hold their leaders accountable without fear of being victimized. Try that in other African countries, you will sleep in jail. 3. Racial tolerance – South Africans from all races generally live peacefully together; racists are a minority. 4. Freedom of speech – I can say F*ck President Cyril Ramaphosa whenever, wherever. He would probably laugh at it. 5. Ubuntu – Many around the world only know the definition of this word, but South Africans live it. 6. Weather – The best in the world. 7. Food – Meat, meat, meat. I could go on and on.
