Remember the part where the bus pulls up to basic training, and the sign says "Welcome to the US Army"? That's where I went to basic. That room they're sitting in when the drill sergeant gives his spiel, that's the room I sat in and listened to the spiel...the barber is where I got my hair cut, etc. It's all gone now.

I got tricked into seeing them in concert. Never liked them, made fun of my brother for liking them. A few years ago, my brother says he got Van Halen tickets and David Lee Roth is back. Guess who the warm up band was. Turns out that what I never knew was that Kool made pretty good funk before they went pop-soul and got popular.

@infantrydort Biggest dumbasses I knew in high school enlisted in the military. They took anyone with a pulse when I graduated. The ivies and top engineering schools were where the real cream of the crop went and their resumes 20 years later bear that out.
