@Leo9981247802 @danvasc2 Exactly. There's no Cathode Ray Tube in there. It's just a plain old Rear Projection TV. I should know, I was there.

Javo, Lack of surprises
- Digital doesn't look as good as DISC (specially 4K UltraHD). - Digital can be taken away at any moment, DISC don't. - Digital can be manipulated by the studio, DISC don't. - Most DIGITAL copies don't have extras, most DISCS do. - There are a lot fo movies that don't have digital, but they are on DISC. Nothing against digital, but DISC rules over digital.

@GameOverThirty This might make some sense of mobiles and PCs provided anywhere near the same bang for buck as a console.

The weakness of game consoles lies in their global viability. Bespoke consoles primarily thrive in the wealthiest global regions (a trend that has lasted 50 years). This is simply the reality of those devices. As various global regions experience economic growth, there's a strong likelihood they will shift towards PC and mobile platforms. Why? These devices are easily imported or already integrated into existing, viable supply chains. Furthermore, PC and mobile offer a greater variety of in-country options. Publishers, particularly those targeting broad sales, understand this. While console sales remain important, especially given the high spending potential of the users, growth opportunities lie elsewhere. This presents itself as the biggest opportunity for mass market publishers, explaining why we see many of them mention PC sales. They can sell to their existing base, but that doesn't fuel overall growth for the next 20 years.

Saw an interesting Steam forum post from Nixxes regarding DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH possible performance issues due to PCIe bandwidth, so I decided to measure it on my system using @CapFrameX, and I indeed saw quite a bit of PCIe traffic when moving around in the game.

@JoshCBurke93 @AndyGni Rafa's Liverpool side had patterns of play all over the pitch! There's none evident with the current Slot side. It's painful to watch.

People say the next Xbox has no exclusives, so there is no reason to buy it. Those same people justify that it's worth buying a PlayStation for 1 or 2 exclusives a year, and a catalogue which will have thousands of less games compared to Xbox.🤦

Rosamund Pike says her 2005 video game movie "Doom" with Dwayne Johnson "was just probably one of the worst films ever made" and "could have ended my career." "When I was making 'Pride & Prejudice' and I was having great fun in my cornfields in my bonnet, I get a call to be in an action franchise. They were making a cinema version, a narrative version of the video game 'Doom.' And I think in my bonnet, in my field of hay bales, 'Yeah, I can do anything. I can jump on this hay bale in my crinoline, so I can certainly go and kill some zombies on Mars.' So suddenly I'm in this film with The Rock, and I realize how utterly ill-equipped I am to be an action star. It was an absolute bomb. I mean, I probably could have ended my career. It was just probably one of the worst films ever made. I mean, it was a catastrophe. I don't read the reviews, but you get the sense like you're lucky to have survived that one." I asked @LiamLawson30 about that avoiding action by @FranColapinto on Sunday: "It was very impressive from his side to avoid it. He had very good reactions. And I was very lucky. I honestly at that point had braced already in the car. I was looking in my mirror, and I saw his car on my left when he was close to me, and I was sure he was going to hit me. And then all of a sudden, he came by me on the right. So he did a very good job to avoid that. And obviously we need to do everything we can to make sure we don't have the same issues off the start, because it cost us the race."

Folks... AMD is building 90% of the tech in the #PS6 and #Xbox Helix. Both companies are going to rebrand the technology, and claim it as their own, but here's the reality... It's mostly AMD. The PS6 and Xbox Helix will use similar technology when it comes to rendering, ray tracing, and path tracing. They aren't going to be that far apart in tech because they are both being designed and built around the same timeframe. Look at gaming PCs. That's your model right there. I don't care which API set the hardware/ software uses, it's the same technology that AMD places in their GPUs and SoCs. The biggest difference is the software layer these days. Hell, the real winner here is AMD. They figured out to sell everyone a new PC every 7 years. 😆

FT 🟡 1-0 🟢 Well. A mad game with a goal disallowed apiece and wastefulness on both sides, but ultimately #LFC live to fight another day and will be relatively at peace with the scoreline heading back to Anfield next week 🤷 Thoughts? 🤔

Completely baseless (but logical) theorising here: If the Xbox Helix DOES launch at a stupid price BUT those rumours of the RAM shortage evening out in 2027 are true, then it could end up just being a stupidly expensive launch price that drops over the years. This isn't ideal, obviously, but it's also basically how consoles used to launch anyway. The PS3 launched at $599 (which was stupidly expensive) in 2006 which is about $900 now, and that WASN'T also a PC. I'm not saying that's a good price but the PS3 eventually lowered in price and went on to actually sell more than the 360 so it's not the end of the world.

Slot on creating chances: "We are working on that but it helps if a player like Wirtz is back, would definitely help if Isak was available more. Mo of course not being available when at AFCON, so there are definitely reasons for it." #LFC liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football…
