@danvasc2 It's so funny to me that the general public thought of these guys as stupid meatheads, when most of them were very intellectual and scientists in the truest sense. I was in awe when I first saw the Mike Mentzer tapes. They managed to achieve so much more with so much less.

Finished. Took my time, reading some parts more than once. Going back to silver age bodybuilding principles has giving me progress like nothing else, breaking PRs almost every session. Full-body splits 3x a week, 2-3 hours a session, compound lifts with free weights, as they used to do it in the 30s and 40s. Before steroids, social media and mainstream attention. I've been in awe of the growing realization that, in several different fields of human endeavor, the answer often lies in the past.

Culture in general. But I don't necessarily miss it, cause I chose to never leave it. Mainly by not consuming modern culture, limiting social media time, and cultivating like-minded friendships. Highly recommended.
