How about a clearer definition for "data center"? A "crypto mine" is not a data center. How about we look at who benefits from these "data centers" in rural North Carolina, because it isn't the people, it's the *public* electric companies and fiber optic providers. Please repost for public awareness. Universities are H1B cap-exempt; they can file for HIB visa 365 days a year and do not go through the H1B lottery. This pipeline is for aging out H4 kids of H1B faculty members who are on the H1B-related waitlist for greencards, (when kids turn 21). It is all caste/ethnicity-based hiring. They create these H1B jobs out of thin air for their H4 kids because each university gets multi-millions of our tax dollars! Universities also hire their kids on OPT/CPT to get them an H1B visa later, after giving them some on-the-job training! Our citizen sons and daughters graduating with the same degrees as H4s do not get a chance to apply for these jobs!
