“When Israeli journalists this week tried to book flights to Hargeisa after Israel’s recognition of the breakaway state of Somaliland, they encountered something unexpected: international carriers required them to first obtain visas from Somalia.”

Congratulations to Omar Abdulkadir Artan on being named Africa’s Referee of the Year, a proud moment for #Somalia and a well-deserved recognition of excellence, discipline, and professionalism on the continental stage.

Let's examine this tweet closely! Who are these "Senior Colleagues from @TheVillaSomalia" that permit the defamation of another government official? There is an ongoing investigation into this matter, but I can confirm that they are the same individuals who used Umut to publicly attack our sister @hodansomali and her family while the issue pertained to internal Somali politics. These are the same people who allowed Umut to publicly target the former Director of Communications of Villa Somalia, @MoDugoow. They shared their internal office conflicts with a foreigner to tweet and harass their colleague. The next offensive tweet from Umut referred to me as an “Agent for UAE.” This is akin to labeling a member of Turkey's Supreme Election Council (YSK) as an agent for another country, especially when I mentioned the information came from @RTErdogan's office. Would such behavior be tolerated by @TC_MogadisuBE or @MFATurkiye? This tweet crosses all boundaries of diplomacy. It will be remembered for future generations, and it will have consequences, as I am pursuing a case against Umut in both Somalia and Turkey. Thanks for your attention!
