BDA: IRGC Naval Base, Qeshm (2/2) ➡️Waterfront (Zone C): The piers were specifically targeted, and adjacent waterfront support structures have been destroyed. ➡️Hardened Storage: Large craters are visible, but they do not appear to have penetrated the underground missile/launcher storage complex. Given the intact (likely) underground sites, I would expect additional follow-on strikes Source: Powered by @Satellogic Delivered by @SkyfiApp @Schizointel @TheIntelFrog @sentdefender

11th MEU/Boxer ARG will eventually join the 31st MEU/Tripoli ARG, which is still en route to the Middle East from the Indo-Pacific. The addition of two MEU/ARGs to the fight will add six amphibious assault ships, combat aircraft, 8,000 servicemembers, and other assets. 3/3

This is a reported new deployment of 4,000 service members including roughly 2,500 Marines to the Middle East from the US West Coast (different deployment than the one we've been hearing about the past few days). Includes three ships for amphibious assault & landing.
Carla Babb@CarlaBNewsmax

#BREAKING #EXCLUSIVE The US military has accelerated the deployment of thousands of Marines and sailors to help reinforce US troops in the Middle East amid the war against Iran. Four officials tell Newsmax the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit is deploying ahead of schedule from the West Coast and is expected to sail through the Indo-Pacific to the Middle East region after the Navy was ordered to surge additional fire power. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group includes the USS Boxer amphibious assault ship—which serves as a mini aircraft carrier—and USS Portland and USS Comstock amphibious landing ships. There are roughly 2,500 Marines--4,000 total service members aboard these three amphibs. Additional Ships, Marines Deployed to Middle East | Newsmax.com

SECOND ARG EN ROUTE: Boxer ARG Deploys Mar 18 imagery caught the USS Boxer (LHD-4) operating just outside of San Diego ➡️The Wasp-class amphibious assault ship is officially underway, heading west with the rest of the Boxer ARG to join Operation Epic Fury ➡️With the Tripoli ARG currently clearing the Strait of Malacca, this makes two full Amphibious Ready Groups actively surging toward the ME Expect a long transit ahead. Will be tracking her across the Pacific!
OSINTdefender@sentdefender

The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), comprised of the USS Boxer (LHD-4), USS Comstock (LSD-45), and the USS Portland (LPD-27) with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Group (MEU), is on its way to the Middle East after departing the U.S. west coast for deployment.

BDA Update: Bandar Abbas Southern Fleet HQ Mar 18 high-res imagery confirms another wave of strikes near the primary navy piers ➡️Impacts focused heavily on the infrastructure and support buildings just off the waterfront ➡️Active fires with at least 6 distinct structures emitting heavy smoke The smoke plumes are likely obscuring additional structural damage Source: Powered by @Satellogic Delivered by @SkyfiApp Date: 18 March 2026 13:57 Local Time

ARG TRANSIT: Likely spot of the USS New Orleans Mar 19 imagery caught a San Antonio-class LPD operating ~109 km North of Banda Aceh (6.545, 95.538), right on the edge of the satellite pass. Based on the last known AIS ping, and speed of the USS Tripoli (19 knots on her last AIS ping), this is almost certainly the USS New Orleans (LPD-18). The ARG is officially clearing the Strait of Malacca.

BDA: Outpost Near Jask Naval Base Comparing Mar 16 imagery against Google Maps reveals the aftermath of a Mar 13 strike (per FIRMS) on a small harbor facility near Jask (25.679297, 57.848815). ➡️Infrastructure: Primary waterfront support buildings/warehouses have been completely leveled. ➡️Harbor: Visible damage sustained to the docks and piers. ➡️Vessels: Debris spotted in the water indicates a potentially damaged small vessel in the harbor. The site profile fits IRGC Fast Attack Craft (FAC) support operations. Source: Powered by @Satellogic Delivered by @SkyfiApp Date: 16 March 2026 14:08 local time @Schizointel

THE NAKED SPRINT: Tripoli ARG Transits Malacca Unescorted OSINT Update (MAR 17): The USS Tripoli (LHA-7) and USS New Orleans are currently off the coast of Malaysia near Port Klang, pushing NW through the Strait of Malacca completely unescorted. If current AIS tracks are to be believed, here is the bizarre sequence of events: The Drop-Off: Their deep-water screen, the USS Rafael Peralta (DDG-115), turned back after the group cleared the Riau Archipelago. The Flyby: Disregard any chance of a handoff. The two LCS's out of Penang sailed right past the ARG in the strait and simply continued eastward. The Assessment: Running high-value amphibious assets without a surface screen through a congested chokepoint is highly unorthodox. This leaves us with two likely scenarios: The Rendezvous: Are they rushing to a mid-ocean linkup in the Indian Ocean with DDGs pushing east from the Northern Arabian Sea? The Feint: Is this high-speed, unescorted dash a strategic head-fake? Where is the screen?

HIGH-SPEED TRANSIT: USS Tripoli Flanked by Heavy Escorts OSINT Update (Mar 15 imagery): Tracking the USS Tripoli (LHA-7) as she continues her rapid push toward the Middle East for Operation Epic Fury. She is not making this run alone. The Fix: Spotted ~678 km from Manila, pushing deep into the South China Sea. The Speed: Just like our last pass in the Bashi Channel, the Tripoli and her escorts are throwing massive wakes. This indicates a sustained, high-speed transit rather than a routine patrol. The Muscle: The critical tactical update is her screen. She is now flanked by 2x Arleigh Burke Destroyers. The Assessment: Running an aviation-optimized amphibious assault ship at high speed with a dedicated twin-destroyer escort is a heavily protected, offensive posture. They are moving with purpose, bringing a major Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) umbrella with them as they sprint toward the theater. Source: @esa Date: 15 March 2026 @sentdefender

@USNINews Only 2 vessels traveling together in the Malacca Strait (1x America Class, 1x San Antonio Class). If the other LPD is there, she's not close to the other 2...

🚨🇮🇷🇷🇺🇸🇾 Our guess: Russian corvette STOIKIY escaped Iran to reach Tartus, Syria 🔸️Left side 10/03 : nothing 🔸️Right side 15/03 : grey ship appears, matches STOIKIY. In Feb 2026, STOIKIY took part in joint exercises with Iranian Navy. Disappeared when the war broke out.

SUSTAINING THE FLEET: CSG-12 Conducts Logistics in the Red Sea OSINT Update (Mar 17): Keeping a massive strike group on station requires constant logistical support. Recent imagery shows Carrier Strike Group 12 operating ~150 km SW of Al Wajh, Saudi Arabia. The current formation consists of: USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) 2x Arleigh Burke-Class Destroyers USNS Kanawha (Kaiser-Class Oiler) Assessment: With the Kanawha tightly integrated into the formation, this strongly suggests an Underway Replenishment (UNREP) day to top off aviation fuel, bunker gear, and stores. The Strategic Question: There are ongoing reports that the Ford will eventually transit to Souda Bay, Greece, for maintenance following a reported fire incident. The timing of that transit remains unknown. Topping off the strike group now gives them the flexibility to either hold the line in the Red Sea for a bit longer, or prepare for the long transit north.

Quick update on the Tripoli ARG transit OSINT Confirmed (Mar 18): Sentinel-2 imagery from 03:45 UTC shows the formation is still just two ships. The USS Tripoli (LHA-7) and the USS New Orleans (LPD-18) were spotted making way ~55 km off Port Klang. We are still waiting to see if they link up with additional escorts or the rest of the ARG before pushing further into theater.

DISINFO ALERT: Setting the Record Straight on the Escort Sighting Seeing a lot of bad information circulating today regarding recent naval movements. Let's ground this in reality and actual geolocation. The Sighting: We are looking at a likely Talwar-class frigate (the Indian Navy's Grigorovich derivative) actively escorting 2x LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) /Oil Tanker. The Actual Location: The Gulf of Oman. The Correction: This is NOT inside the Strait of Hormuz. Why Accuracy Matters: With the current closures and severe tensions inside the Strait, claiming a foreign warship is actively pushing gas carriers through Hormuz pushes a massive escalation narrative. Conducting escort operations out in the broader Gulf of Oman is a standard, defensive posture for securing sea lanes. Geography matters. Don't fall for the hype.
