Hey @VPasquantino ! I heard you’ll be in Houston soon! I run a baseball facility in Houston. Let me know if you want some BP from quite possibly the biggest Royals fan of all time!

@coachball2709 @BishBaseball @shegone03 @Mariners @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs For sure, I think it’s all about situation. With no outs they probably aren’t using contact play. There was 1 out so the contact play was on. In the situation they were in they probably thought 1 run would win the game with how they were pitching so it’s worth the risk.

@M_Haynes5 @BishBaseball @shegone03 @Mariners @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs Fewer runs than staying. I am open minded to listen more about why its better to go than stay

What a game! One thing I can guarantee you is that when Perry Hill is your infield coach your infield will be fundamentally sound! This play isn’t as easy as it looks. The broken bat adds to the difficulty. #shegone

@coachball2709 @BishBaseball @shegone03 @Mariners @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs I can give you the real answer. It’s because there were runners on 2nd and 3rd….even with them throwing him out at home, he is replaced at 3B by the runner at 2nd base. So it’s worth the risk on the chance that they make a bad throw and they can score the run.

@BishBaseball @shegone03 @Mariners @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs I'm not talking about ONE play. I'm asking a former pro MLB player what is the rationale in the broader strategy of going on contact when the IF is playing in. I'm not even complaining overall. I just don't understand the strategy when its going to lead to an out most of the time
