Rise up Ælfrǣds of England.
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

@Melissa_suze @SqirreldeRouge The people who voted Hitler into power weren't far right either, but that's how fascism takes over 🤦♂️

@sharrond62 When did you become such a bigot. We're a big economy who could look after our own vulnerable and provide international aid... if the multi millionaires paid their fair share.
English

Why are we looking after vulnerable foreigners before we look after vulnerable Brits? I just don’t understand what’s going on… why so much tax payers money is disappearing on anyone but British people, farmers or pensioners, every single time anyone in Labour opens their mouth they talk about a huge financial black holes - then do this… ?

@Recycle4Shef How about longer opening hours - all Sheffield recycling centres seem to be overwhelmed at present?

We are currently experiencing queues at the following HWRC: Blackstock over 40 mins. We recommend visiting after peak times and advise visitors not to queue on roads as this interrupts other road users. For more info: sheffield.veolia.co.uk/HWRC

Do you know of anybody keeping count on who has appeared on BBC political shows over recent years?
Eg Lord David Frost on #bbcpoliticslive
Endless Tufton St right wingers on Question Time
It’s like the @LibDems hardly exist according to the BBC and yet they have 72 seats

@jimmymumu @OldSheffield @HHBuildings It ‘fought’ a little early on, although could have saved the facade.
Then it turned its back when @iqbal_mazher ditched the conservation area at the last minute, after spending officers’s time and money on it:

Claiming poverty, leniency and exception just days after paying shareholders £156 million in dividends.
Not a good look @thameswater, really not a good look.

@RobertJenrick Just the start !!
It was always about what they @UKLabour ‘didn’t say’ during the election rather than what they did …
This is already starting to look like a massive, expensive car crash .. 🙄…

First the oil and gas industry, now coking coal for the steel industry.
Less than a week in and jobs and economic growth are already being sacrificed on the altar of Labour’s net zero zealotry.

🚨 NEW: Angela Rayner has decided there was an "error of law" in the Tory's decision to grant planning permission for the West Cumbria coal mine, so they will not defend the move in an upcoming High Court case [@TomSheldrickITV]

Apparently it's to ensure that water companies can attract the right level of talent. 🤣🤣🤣

They partied , they bet on elections , they crashed the economy, they broke every public service, they destroyed integrity and honesty in public office , they paid their mates billions , they put their friends in the House of Lords, they gave their cronies knighthoods, they went into the jungle , they lied again and again, they were convicted by police, they went on holiday when they shouldn’t and they have the cheek to question Keir Starmer’s work ethic. I would never take anything for granted but I hope they are annihilated on Thursday. The worst people and government we have ever had!
P.S good afternoon all 😊❤️

@SheffieldCon @JoannaCDobson I've checked my facts. I was at the heart of the protests. Sheffield Conservatives did nothing.
Their claims are as true as anything the Tories say!

Like a parasitic worm leaving one host body for another, the intolerant, ideological hard left is moving from Labour to the Greens. My @thetimes column.

Dear @bbcnews, I've just been looking at your election results tracker.
It seems Reform won 2 seats.
The Greens won 181 - NINETY times more seats.
Can I assume that from now on we'll see the Greens represented 90 times more often than Reform on your shows?
For balance.
