@yabaleftonline This generation of 16 to 30 yrs old Nigerians would really struggle to speak or write basic English correctly. Can't imagine Adults with WAEC don't know when to use "borrow " and "lend". See as they are typing "borrowing " with every confidence. 😅😅😅

My journey to the Red Chamber begins with an assurance to my dear people of Imo West Senatorial District, and to my great party, the All Progressives Congress, on whose platform I humbly aspire to represent my people. I remain deeply committed to the ideals of service, purposeful leadership, and inclusive progress that define our shared vision for a better future, and the success of my screening by our great party marks not just a milestone, but the beginning of a renewed call to service. It is a significant step toward advancing the aspirations of our people and contributing meaningfully to national development through responsible and people-oriented representation. - Hope Uzodimma

Corporate Affairs Commission@cacnigeria1

TRADE MINISTER TASKS NEW CAC BOARD ON DIGITAL REFORMS, EASE OF DOING BUSINESS The Board of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has been inaugurated with a charge for members to prioritize digital innovation, combat illicit financial flows, and simplify processes for masses in Nigeria. The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole MFR, gave the charge today while inaugurating the board. The Minister asked the newly inaugurated cac board to uphold integrity, collaborate with stakeholders and deliver measurable results within their tenure Jumoke Oduwole further described their appointment as a pivotal moment in strengthening Nigeria’s business ecosystem under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The minister, while congratulating the chair on his appointment, stressed that the president didn’t take it lightly in making the appointment in view of cac’s critical role and implications for Nigeria’s reputation globally. While congratulating them on their appointments, she expressed optimism that their expertise will propel the cac to new heights. Responding on behalf of the board members, the chair, senator Ibrahim M. Ida, CON, said they were eternally grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in them and therefore pledged to deliver on their mandate. Ida, who assured Nigerians that the board will discharge its functions as prescribed by CAMA, said it will strive to make registration faster, cheaper and cleaner. He maintained that their role would be strategic, not operational, and will not be involved in management, but set a direction for the commission to follow. While appreciating the minister for maintaining oversight of the commission over the years, urged the minister to collaborate with the board to ensure speedy delivery of reforms.

You are absolutely right. The South East has the lowest VAT collection. REASON In the Southeast there is high level of production and exports rather than local consumption The goods manufactured or produced in the South East (e.g., by industries, artisans, and traders) are sold/exported to other parts of Nigeria or abroad. Exports are VAT-exempt, and VAT on those goods is collected at the point of sale/consumption elsewhere — often in commercial hubs like Lagos (South West) or Port Harcourt (South South).

“You either need to transition your child or you don’t get to keep your child.” Attorney Erin Friday says California Child Protective Services can threaten parents who refuse to use their child’s preferred pronouns. She told me she feared calling the police when her 13 year old daughter ran away because she worried CPS would take her child. “My daughter, who was 13 years old, just starting high school, was secretly socially transitioned at school.” “The school started to call my daughter by a male name, use male pronouns.” “When I called the school and told them to stop, that next week Child Protective Services was at my door.” “The next day, the police.” “That was an immediate alert to me that the school wants to parent my child.” “If I didn’t follow and call my daughter a boy, Child Protective Services may come and take my child away.” “Parents in Southern California had lost custody of their children because they wouldn’t transition their daughter.” “I already had a black mark, and a few months later my daughter ran away.” “The normal thing for a parent to do is to ask law enforcement to help find your child… but I couldn’t make that phone call.” “Because Child Protective Services can swoop in anytime and take my child.” “It’s coercion at its highest level.” “You don’t get to parent your child.” “This is America. This is insane.” @erinfriday75490

Take a look at this picture. This isn't a political rally or a celebration of national progress. This is Ebuka Obi’s Enugu Crusade (which just took place yesterday, February 21, 2026). To me it’s a visual map of a broken country. When a government fails to provide security, healthcare, and economic stability, the citizens are forced to seek "miracles" for things that should be basic human rights. I am not a member, nor am I here to discuss religion. I am here to discuss the failure of the Nigerian State. This massive sea of heads represents a nation that has lost all hope in its leadership. These aren't just worshippers; they are a symptom of the "cankerworms" that have eaten our system. When a government under Tinubu and the APC fails to provide food, safety, and a future, the people have nowhere else to turn but to pursuit of "miracles" and "breakthroughs." They are praying for security because the military has failed them. They are praying for financial breakthroughs because the economy has been wrecked. They are praying for healing because our hospitals are empty shells. It is a tragedy that in 2026, we are still a nation of "yahoo yahoo" miracle seekers because the "City Boys" in Abuja have turned the country into a desert. The government is happy to see these crowds; as long as the people are busy waiting for "divine intervention," they won't be in the streets demanding real-time election transmission or an end to the killings in the North and Southeast. Tinubu’s APC has done the worst damage in our history. They have forced a hardworking people to trade their dignity for the hope of a "staged miracle." Too bad. A country that runs on "miracles" instead of "policy" is a country that is not moving at all. The country needs a total reset or full time dismantling. Too bad.

Our urban renewal project goes beyond aesthetics and beautification to deliver comprehensive modernization in Owerri and other major cities in Imo State. It directly addresses infrastructural deficits, stimulates economic activity, and promotes a healthier lifestyle for our people. In Owerri, we have sustained the turnaround of public infrastructure, easing business operations, and improving daily life for residents. Road reconstructions are progressing in phases, with New Owerri’s network undergoing significant transformation. Beyond rebuilding, we are implementing designs that improve traffic flow, control erosion, and provide adequate street lighting. These upgrades are strengthening the city’s hospitality sector and creating room for new investments. We remain focused and deliberate, transforming our State quietly and consistently, community by community, city by city, and zone by zone, in the best interest of our people. - Hope Uzodimma

Today, history was made in Abam Onyerubi as we commissioned two landmark projects: the New Omenuko Bridge over the Igwu River and the 30-kilometre Ndi Okereke Abam, Okobo, Amuvi Arochukwu Road. The commissioning was performed by the former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Onyeabor Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd.), who turned 70 years old today. We wish him a memorable birthday in good health and God’s continued blessings. These projects stand as a testament to our collective resilience and the determination of our administration to end decades of neglect and usher in a new era of prosperity. For years, the old Omenuko Bridge symbolised pain and loss, with families mourning loved ones who perished due to its structural failures. Today, we honour their memory and declare that deceit and failed promises shall never again define leadership in Abia. The commissioning is not just about infrastructure. It is about restoring dignity, hope, and safety to our people. And with the completion of the road, too, the age-old cliché that “there is no easy road to Arochukwu” has been abolished forever. The nightmare of collapsed roads and broken bridges is over. Farmers can now move their produce to markets, students can travel safely to schools, and communities once cut off by fear and frustration are reconnected. The siege has collapsed, the jinx is broken, and Abam and Arochukwu stand tall as beacons of what is possible when leadership aligns with the aspirations of the people. This is the dawn of a new Abia, one built on truth, progress, and shared destiny. Together, we have proven that our future is not bound by neglect but is shaped by our collective will. Abia has seen the light, and never again shall darkness cover our path.

The numbers are out, and the gap is widening. Nigeria shared N9.12trn in 2025, but the South-East received just 10.6% (N970.84bn). Why is the region at the bottom of the revenue list?

As we build the Imo State enterprise toward a trillion-dollar economy, we remain firmly committed to sustainability and the preservation of our State’s dignity. Through the Imo @50 Quiz Competition, the history of Imo State was thoughtfully preserved, and I commend all participants whose involvement went beyond the pursuit of victory to reflect knowledge, pride, and genuine love for our dear State. I congratulate Metu Emmanuel Okwuchukwu, winner of the grand prize, alongside Ebubenna Clinton Amamefule and Oguledo Chiedozie Patrickcoleman as first and second runners-up, respectively. Their achievements send a clear message to younger generations on cultural sustainability, heritage retention, and responsible leadership for the future of Imo State. - Hope Uzodimma

After a fulfilling weeklong celebration marking the 50th Anniversary of our dear State’s creation, my wife, Barr. (Mrs) Chioma Uzodimma, and I had the privilege of worshipping alongside Ndi Imo at the Government House Chapel in Owerri. It was a deeply reflective and uplifting moment, one that allowed us to give thanks to God Almighty for how far He has brought us as a people and as a State. I remain convinced that the same divine guidance that has sustained us thus far will never depart from us, especially as we continue our bold journey toward greatness with the launch of a trillion-dollar economy. I therefore encourage Ndi Imo nile to remain actively engaged and supportive of the Government’s efforts, as together we are transforming our State in the best interest of all and building a future we can proudly pass on. - Hope Uzodimma
