UDA and ODM leaders in the BreadBased Government are getting it wrong. HE Rigathi Gachagua is clear that he has the overwhelming support of Kikuyu voters which are 8 million. He has demonstrated that fact through the first by-election. Underrating that proven fact with reference to defeats in North Eastern, Nyanza and Western Kenya is foolhardy. The fact is that without 8 million solid votes which he previously had or even half of it, President William Ruto cannot be re-elected. His plight is further aggravated by the unnecessary violence meted on the people of Ol Kalou. CS Aden Duale and all those misadvising the President to chest thump will be his biggest downfall.

Let's all calm down and stop making wild proclamations like Gachagua, who just said he will mobilize Molima's 7M votes against Ruto in 2027. 7 Million!? From where? Last time I checked Molima TOTAL votes cast in 2022 (for both Raila and Ruto) was 3.8million... I have included ALL the votes in cosmopolitan counties like Nakuru, Laikipia and Kiambu, to counterbalance the Nairobi votes (which are give or take 500k votes cast - 67% of the approximate 800k Nairobi Molima voters). Post-2022, IEBC has registered about 527,000 new voters in Molima counties. So, long arithmetic simplified, there is no universe where Gachagua gives anyone above 4M votes, even assuming they vote 100% for his preferred presidential ticket. Maths don't lie, Wamunyoros do. #Jakwano PS: One of the tricks Wamunyoros normally use to shore up their numbers and create an artificial "tuko wengi" perception, is they usually compare their REGISTERED votes total, vs other region's votes CAST. It is not uncommon to hear them say "Sisi tuko na kura million saba, na nyinyi hamna kura, mlipigia Raila kura blah blah" That trick won't work anymore... We now compare Registered vs Registered, and Cast vs Cast... WAOL.

Prudence Kabura Ng'ang'a scored a C plain in her 2014 KCSE,but refused to let one exam define her future. She therefore,went on to earn a Diploma in Law with a Distinction and later an LL.B from the University of Nairobi. Despite this clear academic progression, the Kenya School of Law rejected her application to the Advocates Training Programme,solely because she did not meet the “C+” mean grade requirement from over a decade ago. The High Court has now dismissed her case, ruling that the law remains strict on entry criteria. Under the Kenya School of Law Act, applicants must have a C+ mean grade and a B plain in English or Kiswahili, regardless of later academic success.

Two days after my election as LSK President, the Secretary of the President of the Republic of Kenya asked to see me. We had lunch at a popular hotel. He conveyed the President’s congratulations and asked that I work with the Government. My first request was that the 41 Judges be sworn-in. The Secretary responded that some of the Judges were so much involved in crime that the President would not swear them in. I told the Secretary that if that was so, I would be more than willing to help the President get rid of them. “Let us swear them in and immediately initiate their removal. Give me the evidence. I will go public with it” I told the President’s Secretary. He laughed for two minutes and responded “Havi, do not be naive. These Judges who are criminals are so much connected that you will get killed if you dared fight them.” “Some of us at State House cannot even dare mention the evidence about them” he said and dismissed my request. Across the table were Dr Willy Mutunga, SC and Prof Kivutha Kibwana, SC. CJ asked, “President, what mischief is our kinsman up to?” “Matters of State, CJ”, I laughed his question away. That was on 30-2-2020.
