I was " Hydrant Boy" many problems with the lack of hydrant maintenance by the council.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 For non-UK friends - let me explain. The drain covers above the hydrant have holes & allows dirt, tarmac and silt in and it builds up. Local councils used to be responsible for cleaning them so this doesn’t happen in an emergency, but cost cutting means this is the reality now
