@dollymixture @vicderbyshire Based on local govt IT systems, it's easy to catch people doing this. Anyone can look on an audit tab to see who's been in a record. Seen many people sacked for this. Usually young dumb administration staff..

@Mac_Paul0 @vicderbyshire And what are they doing to investigate how many times it's happened in the past and what procedures are being implemented to flag up unauthorised access in the future?

A hospital trust has admitted that nearly 50 members of staff looked inappropriately at the medical records of victims of the Southport knife attack. It happened at Aintree Hospital in Liverpool The BBC understands the three patients affected included a 13 yr old girl who had been helping to supervise the Taylor Swift-themed dance class that was targeted in the attack - and adult teacher Leanne Lucas The NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group (UHLG), which runs Aintree, said the breach was "inexcusable" and changes had been made - although no-one has been sacked. Leanne Lucas was stabbed five times in the attack, which killed three young girls and seriously wounded eight children and another adult. "I am absolutely devastated and horrified that my privacy has been invaded when I was at my most vulnerable," she said.

The far-right love shouting about “British values” until those values involve respecting others, tolerating differences, following the rule of law, or defending individual freedoms. You know… the actual British values.

@Math_files If the $1 multiplies by 0.5 then after a day you only have 50 cents. The next day 25 cents. So yeah, I'll definitely take the 100k.

With one home match left of the season, this is where Everton's first season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium ranks in our history (127 seasons in total) for fewest points picked up at home in a league campaign (when converting 3pts/win). #EFC

@Rowgxn @Ken_Stonger @doctoriaindarcy Dunno, mate. But i think councils should assertively pursue vital revenue when people register they are living at such and describe as their beautiful home for 3 years..

@donhutch4 The reason football is the best sport to watch is that goals are rare enough to matter (1st minute goal can be a winner) but common enough to avoid boredom. VAR kills this.

@FromSteveHowell Wrong. Convicted of criminal damage, and gbh (corner only). Judge made ruling under s30 CTA 08 that the offences had a terrorist connection - an aggravating feature. Same offences. Same conviction. Corners sentence likely to be close to, but within, the 5 year max for s20 GBH. 👍

It can't be right for a person to be found guilty on one charge only to then be sentenced on a much more serious charge. It's like convicting someone of assault but sentencing them for attempted murder. The word "terrorism" is being abused to justify eliminating due process.

BREAKING: A court will seek to sentence four Palestine Action activists found guilty of criminal damage as terrorists even though they were not convicted of terror charges, in a move kept secret from the jury.

@AnubisRaHorus @jobdone1 @WellPaidGeek @rawespresso Bollocks. About 2,700 take home after tax, NI and pension. If you've got kids could result pay half that in child care. The rest is mortgage or rent on a modest 3 bed not in London. Then food, travel etc. 🤡

The salary you actually need to feel comfortable in the UK in 2026 has more than doubled in the last 15 years. In 2010, £35,000 was a solid graduate salary. You could rent decently, eat out, take a holiday, save a bit. In 2026, the equivalent number — same lifestyle, same level of comfort — is closer to £75,000. That's the difference between 'affording your life' and 'getting by.' £35K used to put you on the comfortable side of that line. £75K is now the entry point. Most people earning £45-£60K in 2026 are quietly running paycheck to paycheck, feeling vaguely confused about why a salary that sounds substantial doesn't actually go very far.
