Americans aren’t dying for Israel or any other country. They go where they’re sent and they fight for the men to their left and right and for the families waiting on them back home. That’s the reality.
Reducing that kind of sacrifice down to some lazy talking point is bad enough, but watching people laugh and post memes of flag-draped coffins takes it to another level. You don’t get to turn our reality into your punchline.
You don’t get to rewrite why these men and women serve just to fit whatever narrative you’re pushing. They’ve earned better than that. The families who live with that loss every single day have earned better than that.
