Following a @TOIMumbai report last week on how @mybmc issued a stop work notice to a under construction transit camp at Worli which came up on a land reserved for construction of an Seweage Treatment Plant (STP), the SRA on Monday morning began demolition of the structure.

Worli transit camp on reserved land: BMC orders FIR against SRA engineer. BMC has issued a stop-work notice to a transit camp in Worli after finding that the structure has come up on a reserved land parcel earmarked to be handed over to the civic body for the construction of a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). Civic officials said the construction is particularly alarming as two major municipal sewer lines pass through the plot. Documents accessed by @TOIMumbai showed that the BMC has has directed its Chief Engineer (Storm Water Drains) to lodge a criminal complaint against the engineer.
