People lean to the left because of at least one of only three reasons. 1. They’re too lazy to fact check what they hear or read. 2. They’re inherently stupid. 3. They’re evil. Which one are you?

Well well well, Sneaky Fucking, Emily Maitlis. People who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones. How very revealing. You, the crown jewel of smug, privately educated metropolitan chic, built an entire career on the delicious pretence of fearless, impartial journalism, only to out yourself as one of the most sneering, silkily venomous partisan voices ever to infest British broadcasting. How fucking tragic. Oh darling, let’s drag your rancid carcass through the sewer of your so-called career, shall we? One must admire the grotesque artistry of a woman who can perch so elegantly in a BBC studio, delivering what she imagines are masterclasses in emotional grandstanding and laser-guided selective outrage, most notoriously that vicious 2020 Newsnight monologue where you openly declared “Dominic Cummings broke the rules, the country can see that and it’s shocked the government cannot,” sparking over 23,000 complaints and forcing the BBC to rule you had breached impartiality, and more recently when you cornered Marjorie Taylor Greene at Mar-a-Lago, smugly prodding her about “Jewish space lasers” only to get bluntly told to “fuck off” for your trouble. This is, after all, the same champagne-socialist, sneering metropolitan leftist who has spent years openly loathing Brexit, patriotism, and anyone gauche enough to have voted Leave. You treated half the country with the sort of withering contempt usually reserved for a waiter who brought the wrong vintage. A rude, sneering woman who clearly despises England and was never much of a lady, just a vicious professional scold in expensive shoes. You didn’t report the news, Emily. You auditioned for the role of its self-appointed moral executioner. When Rupert Lowe, one of England’s finest gentlemen and truest patriots, dared to drag into the light the systematic rape, torture, drugging, and trafficking of hundreds of thousands of Britain’s own daughters by grooming gangs, you branded him a racist for the unforgivable crime of noticing. While he tried to expose the industrial-scale horror, you sat there downplaying it like a minor scheduling inconvenience, deflecting with cherry-picked statistics (“there are ten times as many white suspects!”) and reaching for the smear button with the frantic desperation of a crackhead chasing her next fix. How very noble. How very BBC. Bless your heart. You eventually slunk out of the BBC under an avalanche of impartiality complaints, only to rebrand at LBC and the New Statesman, where the last polite restraints were gleefully incinerated in a bonfire of leftist virtue. There you peddle the same anti-British, hyper-metropolitan dogma with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer wrapped in a rainbow flag. The mask was never really there. Just a carefully applied layer of foundation over a seething ideological sneer that could curdle milk at fifty paces. You absolute, rancid establishment whore of a woman. The British people have had more than enough of your poisonous, traitorous carcass. So do be a dear and slither back into whatever pathetic little sewer the BBC finally had the good sense to flush your toxic arse down. Your time is over, Emily. The curtain has fallen, the lights are dead, and all that remains is the fading stench of your smug hypocrisy hanging in an empty studio that no one misses. Whatever next? Britain First. No Surrender. 🦁🇬🇧

In the Ministry of Truth’s endless rewrite of history, who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past. And with these badge-wearing Thought Police enforcers prowling the shadows, enforcing the Party’s iron grip through beatings and blackouts, who wouldn’t shudder in hatred at the vast, unblinking eye of the thin blue telescreen—thugs and tyrants one and all? Big Brother is watching, his boot forever stamping on a human face, clad in riot gear and malice.

Holly did pick up the microphone & said a few words, none I remember being inflammatory. She is a mother of 4 & her youngest is a daughter aged about 5/6 who is absolutely adorable. Losing @SuellaBraverman is worse for the @Conservatives than losing @RobertJenrick. She brings policy consistency, ideological clarity and the "hard yards" work ethic that they don't really have beyond Kruger. She lends credibility in a party that has twisted itself and it's supporters in not. I didn't think she would defect, I believed she would wait and take over post-@KemiBadenoch but this is a good move for Reform UK and @Nigel_Farage It will have calmed more nerves than the fanclub will admit to

🚨It’s 2:00 a.m. in Iran. Here are my 11 key, detailed observations from Day 14 of the nationwide protests [January 10]: 1️⃣ Nationwide mobilization continues: On the fourteenth day of Iran’s nationwide protests, demonstrators once again appeared in large numbers across the country, including Tehran, Mashhad, and Shiraz. 2⃣These protests followed earlier calls by CP Reza Pahlavi, issued after two successful prior mobilizations, urging people to gather at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, January 9–10. As in previous days, Tehran and Mashhad saw the largest and most active crowds, though turnout does not appear larger than the previous two nights. 3⃣ Geographic spread beyond major cities: Based on information I have independently verified, protests also took place in Ahvaz, Tabriz, Kermanshah, Rasht, Kazerun, Qorveh, Shahsavar, Lorestan Province, and Ilam, indicating continued nationwide reach beyond the main urban centers. 4⃣Communications and information flow: Near-total communications blackout Following the regime’s full internet shutdown, mobile phones and even landlines are largely offline across Iran. Information—particularly from smaller cities—is emerging only sporadically and with significant delay. 4️⃣ Starlink as the last remaining lifeline: Current estimates suggest that roughly 50,000 Starlink terminals are active inside Iran, mostly concentrated in major cities. Starlink remains virtually the only functioning communications tool. The regime is actively attempting to disrupt it through jamming, while many Iranians are unable to afford either the initial hardware cost or the monthly subscription. 5⃣Scale of repression and casualties: Most footage from last night’s protests surfaced early this morning. Based on the volume and severity of the videos, last night appears to be the bloodiest day of the protests to date. - Graphic scenes from Tehran Multiple videos show bodies lying in the streets, and in at least one case, groups of corpses gathered at a single location in Tehran. According to unverified reports, at least 217 people were killed in Tehran alone overnight. Additional footage captures families gathered outside hospitals, with the cries and wailing of mothers clearly audible. - Official figures no longer credible: Given the scale of visual evidence, relying solely on officially “verified” figures is no longer realistic. Overall estimates suggest that the nationwide death toll has likely surpassed several hundred, while arrests now exceed 5,000 people. 6⃣ Diaspora media coverage: Most Iranian diaspora media outlets appear to be intentionally limiting graphic coverage of killings and extreme violence to avoid spreading fear inside Iran. Instead, they emphasize symbols of unity and resistance, including the Lion and Sun flag, images of the exiled royal family, diaspora solidarity rallies, and expressions of global support. - At the same time, analysts and activists writing in English continue to document both the protests and the regime’s crimes, viewing this as essential for informing foreign audiences and generating pressure for international action. 7⃣Regime media and propaganda: State media are advancing several conflicting narratives lines at once: 1. Threatening parents with severe consequences and telling them not to complain if harm occurs. 2. releasing mocking videos of small gatherings and portraying public indifference while labeling the Prince an “Israeli pawn” 3. Blaming the killings on Mossad and the United States, including claims by a parliamentary security spokesman that “Zionist and American forces fired on the people.” 4. Circulating extreme accusations such as protesters killing a seven-year-old girl or burning a nurse alive in Gilan; 5. Emphasizing alleged “separatist elements” to frame the unrest as a U.S.–Israeli plot to divide and weaken Iran. 6. Finally, Pro regime Telegram accounts, activity publish forced interrogations, arrests, and even footage of security forces firing live ammunition. The key point is that all of these contradictory narratives are being pushed at the same time. 8⃣International dimension and the U.S. factor: Following Donald Trump’s recent message saying, "Iran is looking at freedom" alongside new remarks by Lindsey Graham stating that “help is on the way,” speculation is growing that U.S. military action could be approaching. The scale of last night’s killings has effectively eliminated any plausible deniability for Trump’s team. If Trump seeks to avoid the legacy of inaction associated with the Obama administration during the 2009 protests, he may feel compelled to act—even if the initial response is symbolic. While many Iranians are calling for U.S. action, there is also concern that Prince Reza Pahlavi could be sidelined, similar to what occurred with opposition figures such as Maria Machado in Venezuela. Regime media are actively amplifying this fear to discourage protesters Given Israel’s close relationship with CP Reza Pahlavi and its official support for him, some analysts argue that Israel should take on a more visible role, diplomatically and operationally, to reassure Iranians and counter regime narratives. 9⃣Internal pressure points: Schools have been closed across multiple provinces, with Kermanshah being the latest. IRGC-linked media outlets, without evidence, claim protests have dropped by 90 percent and that new “Mossad agents” have been arrested. The regime has also announced it will scrutinize the social media accounts of celebrities, artists, and public figures who directly or indirectly supported Reza Pahlavi’s calls. 🔟Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi’s latest message: In his most recent call, CP Reza Pahlavi urged protesters to prepare for taking over government buildings and key areas, while once again calling on workers in Iran’s energy sector—the regime’s economic lifeline—to join the protests. 11. Outlook: Despite intense repression, protests continue and are likely to persist for at least the next two days. Communications with Iran remain severely limited, but scattered reports indicate many inside the country are waiting for Trump’s decision and possible foreign intervention to see whether the balance shifts. It remains unclear whether any U.S. action would be symbolic, similar to the 2017 strikes in Syria, or whether it would involve targeting military sites or regime leadership. While protests persist, the regime’s capacity for repression should not be underestimated. The central question is whether tonight will mirror last night’s massacre, and how the regime will escalate—or recalibrate—its response.

In the dim corner of the tavern, the foul trio held court: a sharp-tongued woman with venomous eyes, flanked by two leering men whose grins revealed yellowed teeth. Their cackling laughter slithered through the air like smoke, mocking every soul who dared pass, a chorus of fools reveling in their own cruel delight.

Hannah Arendt observed something similar about totalitarian movements: they dismiss rational debate altogether, treating disagreements as beyond logic—rooted in some irreconcilable “deeper” conflict that reason can’t touch. It’s like arguing with people operating on a completely different moral and factual planet. She analyzed how Nazi and Soviet regimes destroyed rational discourse, replacing it with ideological “logic” that made facts irrelevant and turned disagreements into existential threats from “objective enemies.”

Ah, the delicious irony: a Labour MP waxing philosophical about how “tinpot tyranny rises to the top” while sitting pretty in a government that’s busy proscribing protest groups as terrorists, postponing elections to dodge Reform wipeouts, quietly eroding jury trials, and defending every draconian anti-dissent law the Tories left behind—like they’re auditioning for the role of Franco’s understudy, but with worse suits and better PR. It’s almost touching, this pondering of “how do we prevent it happening again?” Mate, start by looking in the mirror. The dull man isn’t in some dusty history book; he’s in No. 10, boring the nation into submission with five missions no one can remember, while quietly building the authoritarian toolkit for whoever comes next. Fascinating stuff, really. Who knew the real curiosity of the human condition was how quickly yesterday’s opposition becomes today’s tinpot regime—complete with two-tier policing and a side of selective outrage? Keep reading those books, though; reality’s providing the sequel for free.
