@LiterateIndy Every single great theatre in Indianapolis has been demolished. It truly is a major shame what this city could have been if they had not made the mistake of tearing half of it down.

Indianapolis had the second theater in the U.S. with an Egyptian motif: the Zaring Theatre, at 2741 Central Avenue, which opened in 1925.
Sadly, of course it was demolished, in 1968-1969. So frustrating.
