The election results reveal the grave extent of information war which is being waged against Muslims. It is quite sad how Muslims were bombarded with propaganda to convince them that they are living in Bengal and BJP will be defeated just by ensuring “strategic voting”.

That's right. They have mentally accepted their shudra status where hindus can invent an excuse & punish any Muslim anytime. Btw be@t!ngs in name of LJ have been going on since a long time & in every single case qazis & MLAs have defended Hindus through this twisted logic.

I am very disappointed by Bhopal Muslims. I thought they were protesting the beating of that Muslim man. No, they are protesting because a bunch of Hindus insulted Allah (rabb-ul izzat). Please do not misunderstand me, may my life be sacrificed for the Lord of the heavens, however, this is a misplaced priority. The disbelievers have insulted Allah and His Messenger in hostility since antiquity; until when will you protest, and to what extent? You are ignoring the obvious fact that a Muslim brother of yours was publicly beaten, and you are not affected? You neglect it as if it does not matter? A Hindu mob can beat one of us simply because he fell in love with a Hindu woman? When the Indian Constitution explicitly allows it, how did they lay hands on one of us? How can you let this happen? Especially after realising that the same Hindu mob would have protected and funded the man if the religions or genders were reversed. You may say that forming a romantic relationship with a Hindu woman is haram. Yes, it is, but are these Hindus the custodians of Shariyat? Is India run by Shariyat? And how idiotic can one be to not realise that Shariyat is applied under a Muslim society or polity?

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Muslims protested after a video surfaced showing a Muslim youth being beaten by Bajrang Dal activists over alleged "love jihad." The youth was publicly humiliated, and reportedly objectionable remarks were also made against Allah. Protesters submitted video evidence and names of attackers to the Commissioner's office, demanding strict action. Police have filed an FIR against unidentified persons and are investigating the case.

Was just digging more into it and seems MP has most bulldozer demolitions across all states and second only to Assam. It is like any lowest level administrative official can arbitrarily bulldoze any Muslim's house and it might get covered by Maktoob/Observer after a month.

A name change proposal for a place in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh resulted in communal tension and stone pelting on Saturday. The controversy erupted over the renaming of Almaspet Circle as Tipu Sultan Circle by the local Muslims, claiming they had administrative permission. As news spread, local right-wing affiliated groups strongly opposed the new name and preferred the junction be named Hanuman Circle. Things heated up on Saturday after the right-wing supporters tried to install a 30-foot Hanuman statue at the circle, angering the Muslim community. Both sides pelted stones at each other, and slogans were raised. On information, police personnel rushed to the spot and tried to diffuse the row. However, a Circle Inspector and two constables were injured, prompting the police to resort to a lathi charge.

Jharkhand Police locked up injured Arif Ansari in lockup instead of taking him to the hospital. On the evening of May 4, 2026, around 7:30 PM, in the Chira Chas police station area of Bokaro, Jharkhand, Harsh Pandey and his associates brutally attacked Arif Ansari in front of Veena Regency, in which Arif Ansari was seriously injured. The police received information about this, and when the police reached the spot, instead of taking the injured Arif to the hospital, they took him to the police station and put him in lockup.

Dear Kiren Rijiju, @RamMNK kindly make public the June 2025 contract signed with airlines for Haj 2026 round-trip travel. Transparency is the only way to clear doubts. If the agreement allows airfare revision, show the clause. Pilgrims won’t oppose a one-time ₹10,000 hike if it’s contractually valid. Was there a clear price-lock mechanism in the June 2025 airline contract for Haj 2026? Or are airlines now rewriting terms mid-way? Are airlines invoking a “force majeure” clause to justify airfare hikes? If yes, what exactly is the extraordinary situation? Pilgrims deserve clarity, not confusion.
Kiren Rijiju@KirenRijiju

For countless families, Haj is a once-in-a-lifetime dream nurtured over years. I deeply respect that sentiment. Amid a sharp global rise in Aviation Turbine Fuel prices, driven by ongoing geopolitical tensions, Airlines sought a steep hike of $300–$400 per pilgrim. We also can't blame Airlines for the rise in Aviation Turbine Fuel price. Through negotiations, we ensured the increase was restricted to just $100, saving each pilgrim a significant amount. The decision was taken transparently, in good faith, to ensure no disruption in the #Haj2026 operations. @MOMAIndia @MEAIndia @haj_committee @hajmission @IndianEmbRiyadh @CGIJeddah @NMDFCIndia

About a month ago, I travelled to Madhubani, Bihar, to report on the killing of Roshan Khatoon. I brought her family’s voice to you through an interview, something that, until then, no one had done. I believed that if people heard them directly, it would spark attention and accountability. After publishing the story, I personally reached out to several individuals, urging them to raise their voices for justice in this case. Unfortunately, many chose to ignore it. That was the moment I truly realised the extent of the damage caused when my account was withheld, and how much it limited my ability to amplify stories that urgently needed attention. A week later, I sought support for pursuing a legal fight. The response, again, was minimal. And two days ago, as the main accused in Roshan Khatoon’s murder walked out on bail, reactions began pouring in from all sides. But it raises a painful question, where was this urgency when it mattered most? I remember one person telling me, “What is the point of a legal fight? We have no faith in the judiciary.” At the time, I struggled to accept that sentiment. Today, it feels difficult to dismiss. What troubles me most is the weight of expectations. When I visited the family, they looked at me with hope, that someone from outside, from the capital, might help bring them closer to justice. Now, I find myself questioning what difference my work has truly made. As journalists, are we now reduced to merely documenting tragedies, rather than being able to influence outcomes? I am deeply disturbed, and I carry a sense of guilt that is hard to shake. #JusticeForRoshanKhatoon

The Haj Committee is demanding an additional ₹10,000 from Haj pilgrims as “differential airfare.” This is despite collecting ₹90,844 per pilgrim a couple of months ago departing from Mumbai Embarkation Point. This is almost DOUBLE the prevalent rates for individual travellers. Are pilgrims being punished for going through the Haj Committee? This is just exploitation and nothing else. Most pilgrims are not wealthy, they save money for years to be able to go to Haj. This is not a luxury for them. The circular must be withdrawn immediately, and the pilgrims must be refunded the money taken from them @kirenrijuju @RamMNK

This is the last call of Maulana Tousif Raza Mazhari, and it directly challenges the “accident” narrative. In the recording, he is heard telling his wife that drunk men in the train had caught him, were abusing and beating him, and he repeatedly asked her to call the police for help. He also says there were people in the compartment, but no one was intervening. These are not the words of a man who accidentally fell off a train. This is a man describing his own assault in real time. @TheObserverPost

As someone who did a PhD on Muslim women in late colonial north India (which involved a deep dive into Muslim personal law during that period), I completely agree! Muslim women had greater rights regarding both marriage/divorce and inheritance than their Hindu counterparts.

Yesterday, the Bombay High Court discharged four men accused of carrying out the 2006 Malegaon Blasts. The accused all allegedly belonged to Abhinav Bharat. The explosions claimed 31 lives and injured 312. The blasts specifically targeted Muslims. Yet, maybe out of habit, the investigation agencies first arrested nine Muslims, who were eventually acquitted in 2016. In yesterday’s order, the High Court criticised the NIA for its botched investigation. Is the NIA going to appeal the order before the Supreme Court? Highly unlikely. This is a betrayal of all the victims and their families. This will be yet another terror attack where we will not even see its perpetrators being punished. To be a Muslim in India is to only wait for justice. This case has followed a similar trajectory to the 2008 blasts case. Rohini Salian, NIA’s prosecutor was on record saying that NIA asked her to go soft on the accused.

When Hindus (those in power politics) claim that they are secular, believe in peace and harmony, and oppose Hindutva radicalisation, I am disillusioned enough not to trust them. I know that such Hindus do not have any ideological commitment; they have a vast variety of options and choose the one that best suits their purse, career, and lifestyle. At the end of the day, all of them are Hindoos and are strictly attached to Hindu communal interests, and would never wish any other community to challenge their overrepresented dominance, doing everything to deny them their due share.

Muslim Golden Rule: dig the roots of Islamicate elements and stop at Persia. “Ye jo imarat dekh rahe ho na, farsi mimari ke naqsh-o nigar par tameer ki gayee hai.” Arrey miyan, tum faras par kyun kar thaherte ho? Jab jadein khod hi rahe ho tou zara aur gahrayi tak jao, yeh kya ki faras par ruk kar "Persianate" naam diye dete ho. Bhala yeh kaun sa insaaf hai?

Pakistan's national anthem, Qaumi Taranah, is not in Persian. In fact, there is not a single Persian word in it. This lady reeks of ignorance, and here is why: Qaumi Tarana is composed of 49 words, all of which are present in Farhang-e-Asifiya, a classical Urdu dictionary, and are thus fully incorporated into the Hindustani (Zaban-e Urdu-e Mualla) tongue. But this lady is adamant about finding roots, then why did she stop at Persian? Why do Muslims, in general, stop at Persian/Iran when tracing linguistic roots? This terminological warfare slop should end. 25 words (51%) of the Qaumi Tarana have Arabic roots, why didn't she mention this? Why didn't she credit Arabic? She also said the anthem has only one Urdu word. Well, no, there is a Prakrit-root term. Why did she call that Urdu but not the others? And there are two such words. Then the remaining 22 words are Persian, but even multiples of them themselves have roots in the languages of ancient civilizations such as Akkadian, Assyrian, Hittite, etc.. Why didn't she credit those civilisations? If you are digging for roots, then dig them fully, or do not post such pathetic slops. In extreme academic works, Arabic-root words in Persian have a potential of reaching 85% of total words. Will she call those works Arabic?

[Nashik case & media's credibility] Blame a person, based on hearsay or wild claims & even before trial, charge sheet or court verdict, conduct a media trial witch-hunt, ignoring ethics of journalism. Based on 'sources', 'sources' and 'anonymous sources', write anything. Truth should come out but this level of defamatory campaign & dirty journalism is sickening and hurts the society. Misusing power of media, shamelessly making unverified claims, not even aware about person's role and post, using her photo as if already case is over and the person is a convicted criminal? The level of irresponsible 'journalism' by media houses is an example of serious rot. No apology for false info and just sharing company's response as 'clarification', without even admitting that they had no idea about the HR head or even duties of the person. This case has shown how much media can be immoral and destroy lives, without an iota of shame or regret. Just anything you are told & your write it like a steno, without basics of journalism, not even confirmation. Media has power to publish and with power comes responsibility. Today anybody makes any allegation and you will publish photo, terming someone as almost a mastermind of a crime plot that is worse than pulp fiction. It's petty and cheap. If this is the way media functions, it will tear social fabric. Either mischievous reporting or a hurry to write without conformation and without knowing the basics, it affects lives and... ...the erosion of media's trust affects the basic structure of a society where law and investigation ought to be fair and every person must get a fair trial, is at risk due to such careless media reporting. If at all these media groups had any credibility, all has crumbled. It's over. That's the corpse of media, lying unattended. It's over. The media houses that have indulged in this cheap act, must be held accountable. It is as if you were already biased and prejudiced & without any proper check, you went out for the hit job. Lot of people have questioned the role of media groups and certain 'anchors' who are not necessarily journalists but pass off as journos even if they might not have been schooled in basics of journalism. *False information published, no apology *Unverified info, facts compromised *Claim taken as 'truth' and 'fact' *Photo used as if a mastermind of crime involved *Witch hunt & Targeting *Campaign to prove a conspiracy *What was spoon fed, reproduced, not cross-checked *Immoral journalism *Dirty 'journalism' destroys, damages lives The principle of innocent till proven guilty, doesn't exist, if media sees a person with a prejudiced mindset. There is no scope as everyone copy-pasted and pushes same story with a manic urge to get more and more eyeballs. There is a reason that respect for the profession has hit rock bottom. This is sad that media can go so wild and careless to such an extent. There is more to written about this case and it will in a way be remembered by people as an example of media's worst possible sensational tendencies that can be witnessed in public space in this era. --Shams Ur Rehman Alavi #Nashikcase #BiasedJournalism #BiasedMedia #Journalism #Nashik

Example of subtle ways to suppress or sensationalize reports and headlines: -In an incident, a man assaults other person & its definitely a crime. But in headline his full name is mentioned and termed 'darinde ne apne ghar mein ye kiya'. -In other incident, a man killed his two daughters with an axe like weapon. But headline doesn't use the term 'darinda' or monster & there is no name in headline. Maintain certain standards in media. Assault or attack is not equivalent to murders. tlate, a tendency is to take name of suspect or accused in headline in certain cases. Iff you have started practice of taking names of killers or assailants in headlines, then in each case, take the names, otherwise just don't take name in headline in each case. Not just that one in ten cases where it suits you, you will take complete name in headline. Otherwise, you will hide it. Media must be responsible. It has to act fair and should appear fair in practice. Reporting or journalism can't be done whimsical way. Report each incident as per the standards of journalistic ethics. It shouldn't be that you are paid to run a service to save reputation of certain men and demonize a few others. This seems shameful that you ruin life of a person in one case and appear to act as PR manager of accused in other case or make the gravity of an offence lesser or turn an incident more serious depending on your mood swings. Journalism must have a certain seriousness. Writing a pulp fiction style story for sensational crime magazine episode in one case and otherwise so soft just because you feel it that way or you have a particular motive! The checks and balances that are needed, don't exist. Press council acts when complaint is made to it. But on regular basis, the extreme bias that is shown in reporting, continues to make lives difficult for innocents. [This image has been taken from social media handle of a big media house. Sometimes photos are not published, sometimes names are inserted in headlines and there is also clickbait to get eyeballs. But apart from this, the biggest casualty is ethical journalism] #Journalism #FairReporting #EthicsofJournalism #BiasedMedia #Biasedjournalism
