Deeply saddened by the passing of Phunchok Stobdan—a distinguished scholar, diplomat, and profound voice on Himalayan geopolitics. I had the privilege of bringing him to Jammu as Professor during my tenure as VC. He will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family. Om Shanti.

@blinkitcares You can't go back in time and fix my order, can you? I just need an assurance from @deepigoyal that you guys will implement a segregation policy for food and other items. That's all I am asking for. Is it too much to ask?

Dear @letsblinkit Kindly instruct your packing personnel to ensure that food items are not packed in the same paper bag as cleaning products and disinfectants.Yesterday I received highly perishable milk, eggs and paneer in the same bag as a can of insect repellant.Last month I received Harpic in the same bag as some vegetables. I don't think I'm being finicky or unreasonable;there is a clear risk of contamination of food here. Also eggs should be packed on top to avoid breakage.Thanks. @deepigoyal @blinkitcares

@Drqasba @nirupamakotru @NMnewdelhi I was wondering if no.3 was the same one I used to visit and the post of Dr Qasba has clarified that it is the one in the HH Street. There used to be the famous jewellery shop of Tara Singh and Sewa Singh in the lane opposite to the entrance of the temple .

@nirupamakotru @airindia The three observations made by you dear Nirupama are relevant and Air India must pay immediate heed to it. I am elderly and suffer from knee problem I can imagine how tough it must have been to use step ladder

Dear @airindia I have three quick observations to make about the latest flight of yours that I took to #Mumbai this evening. Firstly, the aircraft used a step ladder(+bus) for disembarkation, and it was quite difficult for a lot of passengers, esplly the elderly/those with knee issues (like myself) and those with hand baggage with handles,to negotiate the same. Kindly try to switch to ramps like the ones @IndiGo6E uses(which are easier to negotiate),wherever aerobridge is not available. Secondly,it took over twenty minutes for our bus to reach T2 Arrival terminal. The shocking reason,as I just learnt, was that the flight actually landed at T1 terminal! There is no point in a flight arriving on time or even before time,if the actual waiting time for passengers including transportation to arrival terminal plus arrival of luggage on belt takes one hour from landing time. 3. Thirdly, the flight landed at 8.10pm and baggage started arriving on the belt, at 9.10 pm. I got my bag around 9.18pm. As I left, I noticed several harried passengers still waiting for their baggage. Obviously this delay can be attributed to the fact that bags had to travel from T1 to T2. As a result, it took a total time of an hour and a half from time of landing to reaching the parking lot. That's not one expects in a domestic flight. Kindly augment your airport infrastructure coz this is not a happy state of affairs @GMR_Airports @DGCAIndia @AAI_Official

Poland’s parliament has officially voted to end the long-criticized practice of keeping dogs chained, marking a significant step toward improving animal welfare nationwide. Lawmakers say the decision reflects a growing awareness of how pets are treated, especially in rural regions where chaining has been a common practice for generations. Supporters believe the ban will shield dogs from neglect, severe weather, and the physical damage that prolonged restraint can cause. They hope the new law will encourage owners to use safer enclosures, proper fencing, and more humane living arrangements. Critics point out that enforcing the law could be difficult, particularly in remote areas where routine inspections are limited. Others say many owners will need time and financial help to move from chains to adequate kennels or fenced yards. Even with these challenges, animal-rights advocates are celebrating the decision as a meaningful step forward. They see it as a win for compassion and a reflection of shifting attitudes about responsible animal care.

The Night a Man Gave a Heartbeat Back to the Wild On a dark highway in Thailand, a speeding motorcycle struck a baby elephant crossing with its herd. The calf lay motionless — its mother’s desperate cries echoing through the forest. Then came Mana Srivate, a Thai rescuer with 26 years of experience — off duty, but driven by instinct and compassion. He knelt beside the lifeless calf and began performing CPR — elephant CPR. “I just guessed where its heart might be,” he said later. Minute after minute, he pressed and prayed. Then — a twitch. A breath. A movement. “When it moved,” Mana said, “I cried.” The baby survived. Hours later, rescuers reunited it with its mother their trunks touching softly in a moment that silenced everyone watching. That night, one man’s courage and kindness proved something powerful: love and compassion know no boundaries not even between species. Heroes don’t wear capes — sometimes, they kneel beside a fallen soul and give it a second chance at life.

During a recent interview to me, Professor Amitabh Mattoo asked “Where are the Satya Nadellas and Sundar Pichais? Why are they silent? Why are they not speaking out for India?”. Well @amitabhmattoo Here they are. And no, they’re not silent. They’re profusely thanking Trump and praising him to the skies. But no, not one word about the punitive tariffs or India bashing by the Trump administration @satyanadella @sundarpichai
