@NileGardiner Cannot stand Starmer but I am glad he is not following Trump like a little lap dog.
There are political leaders who would sell this country out to the US in a heartbeat and I am sick of it.
The most humiliating put down of a British Prime Minister since the Suez Crisis of 1956.
Churchill would have viewed Keir Starmer as a treacherous, weak-kneed and cowardly socialist who is destroying Britain and the vital partnership with the United States.
@RupertLowe10 Rupert all the ones near me put up previously are cheap, nasty and now torn, filthy and tatty. They look a disgrace and disrespect the flag. Business and residents nearby who bothered to buy small flag poles and do it properly instead of performative crap look lovely.
Very proud of my 'tool of hate' as the Government's new 'social cohesion strategy' has labelled our glorious flags.
Restore Britain's official response to their strategy:
SOD OFF.
@AndySaxon78 All the ones put up near us previously were cheap and nasty and are now torn/tatty or filthy. They look an absolute state. Not respectful to the flag at all.
The businesses and houses that bothered to put up them on proper mini poles instead of performative shit look lovely.
@Joseph_Boam You say routinely. How many churches have been converted into mosques in the UK?
All the ones near me that are empty have been left to rot and suffered massive damage as a result of kids or the homeless community breaking in and things being damaged or been burnt down.
Our churches should be given protected status so they are not routinely converted into mosques.
They are part of Britain’s Christian heritage and identity. Once a church is gone, it’s rarely restored.
Preserving faith buildings matters if we value our history. 🇬🇧
Keir Starmer has finally given the US permission to use British bases to destroy Iranian missiles. Better late than never.
The Prime Minister is a follower, not a leader.
@danielkempe@BritanniaArthur@Nigel_Farage They are attacking our bases because Starmer bowed to pressure and allowed the US to share bases for military operation against them. Now it IS our war because we have to follow the US like a lap dog.
@amjadt25 I am glad they feel safer there but is this not a sensible option? I cannot stand our government but if it became not safe at any point many of the same people would be screaming at the UK to evacuate them. 🤷
Everyone is safe in the UAE. Everyone is protected. Meanwhile, the British government has asked all Brits in the UAE to fill out evacuation forms, just in case. First, they feel safer here. Second, most are politely declining… just in case it somehow turns into a tax form instead.
@CowboyEmpire@EarningsThe@sophielouisecc Would they come if we called though? I used to think so, now I am not so sure. Trump seems keen to withdraw from Nato anyway.
@EarningsThe@sophielouisecc Ever heard of Article 5 of NATO? Also the US is 100% your friend, Trump or not. Don’t listen to propaganda. The US is the first person you’ll call if attacked.
@sophielouisecc Safe? I cannot stand Starmer but he backed down and allowed use of UK bases and Iran immediately hit one of our bases in Cyprus? The last war we followed the US into in Iraq was an absolutely shit show and all the US did was tell us our soldiers weren't good enough.
@AndyBurnhamGM No use to me, I have lost my disabled bus pass after three years despite it being a progressive condition and medical notes because Bee Network insist on a letter from your GP in the last 12 months and my GP doesn't do letters as they class as private work. You cannot even pay...
Tomorrow we lift the 9.30am restriction on bus passes, letting older and disabled people travel whenever they want.
It was good to thank the GM Older and Disabled People’s Panels for pushing for it.
A positive change powered by the people - exactly how politics should work! 🙌🏻
@seanspicer Good buddies? Your leaders have spent months telling us how stupid and useless we are and how shit our soldiers were the last time we helped you or threatening us with tariffs if we don't jump when you ask us to. Now you want to share bases with the very same soldiers?
SPOTLIGHT ON GORTON AND DENTON #2:
I was out canvassing in Longsight in the final days of the election campaign. A member of my team, born just 5 miles from the spot where we were standing, was challenged in the street by a young Asian man who told him he should not be campaigning during Ramadan.
This is Britain. Our democratic process does not pause for any religion. Elections are conducted according to the law of the land, and political parties are entitled to campaign lawfully, respectfully and peacefully.
No one should be made to feel they cannot participate in British democracy because of a religious observance.

@Manchester70750 Yes, that's the one! And yes, you'll need to pay from the Greyhound separately. You can ask the driver about this ticket, we don't have them prices I'm afraid. If you need anymore help, let me know.
@BeeNetwork Can you help please? If I was travelling from Tyldesley to Glazebury via Leigh do you know where my Bee Network day ticket coverage would stop?
Because both your site and the Warringtons Own Buses site suggest it can be used across the boarder but it is confusing.
@Jenny_1884 I would much rather choose my own. Sometimes the service has been awful and they have auto stuck 12% on there. I would also prefer the option to tip cash separately so that the employee who has been amazing gets it and not the boss.
@NLondonHousewif@Fpl_Furious@furbabygirl This is so confusing (I am autistic so may be misunderstanding) don't most of us discuss politics with close family. I don't tell my daughter how to vote but we do chat parties/policies. I am pretty sure Reform voters will be telling their kids why they should vote Reform...
@Fpl_Furious@furbabygirl So they're being accused of chatting about their vote before they went into the voting office?
& this is 32 occasions out of a vote of >75,000 people?
Are we allowed to be accompanied in a voting booth and shown where to put an X in a box?
No.
So why are Muslims allowed family voting?
More two tier Keir politics.
@Jenny_1884 I think it also depends on the age of your children. There are no where near as many jobs now where you can start at the bottom as the tea girl/boy and work your way up without further education which is a shame as non academic kids who are still capable miss out massively.
@Jenny_1884 I mean I guess it depends, you wouldn't want a surgeon or consultant or such who had not been properly educated and even nurses and paramedics need a degree now but those I know doing very well did trades such as plumbing and electrician. That said even they need post 16 edu
Neither of my kids went to University & they are now both homeowners.
Education doesn’t pay the bills but hard work does.
Education Education Education was pushed by Tony Blair but what he’s really done is put our kids in debt that will take them years to pay off.
Never listen to our politicians as we know better than them.
