Coates is implying that Israel, a state that guarantees full rights to all citizens regardless of background, is an apartheid.
This isn't the first time. Coates once made a trip to the West Bank, which he concluded is an apartheid. There are problems in the West Bank, that's for sure, but Coates assigns all blame to Israel for attempts to protect its citizens, and none to Palestinian leadership who pay salaries to terrorists.
Of course, to Coates, the specifics hardly matter, as he admits this is less about what you believe, and more about getting elected.
When the truth doesn't matter, when Jewish life isn't considered worthy of protection, and when winning elections is straightforwardly the goal, Coates is right about one thing.
That is not a continuation of a legacy of fighting for justice. Not at all.

Shapiro is right here, whether or not he’s arguing in good faith. On balance, the Abraham Accords helped regional stability, especially by making West Bank annexation less likely. What's sad is that Israel didn’t capitalize on them to seriously advance peace with the Pals.

This is an insane argument. The lack of normalization between Israel and Arab states had delivered nothing to the Palestinians. The Abraham Accords at least held (and still holds) the potential for expanded regional integration that would support and include Israeli-Palestinian peace. It also facilitated the UAE becoming the largest Arab provider of assistance to Palestinians, by working with Israel. Obviously Hamas’ October 7 attacks and Israel’s campaign in Gaza have set back regional peacemaking ambitions. And Trump has made a major blunder entering this current war. But the notion that the U.S. should oppose its regional partners becoming partners with each other because a hostile Iran and terrorist groups like Hamas don’t like it is absurd.

This little girl, Maryam, has severe pre-existing Marsh 3C coeliac disease, which damages her intestines and prevents nutrient absorption.
It is so odd that we’ve been fed the idea that all of these children have simply been starved to death, yet every time we see one of these viral cases, it turns out the photo is either years old, from a separate location outside Gaza, or the child has a disease that contributes to their thinness.
This is not to deny that hunger or starvation has occurred in Gaza. Of course it has. But if it were occurring, or had occurred, on such a massive scale, you would not need to use fake or misleading photos, like the New York Times did, to make your case.

There are more Muslims living in Israel as full-citizens than there are Jews living (as citizens or not) in the 49 Muslim majority countries put together.
This should be the only argument you need to debunk the false claim that Israel is an ethnostate.
