Why can any Jewish person anywhere in the world move to Israel and receive citizenship under the Law of Return, while Palestinians who were displaced from that same land and their descendants are denied the right to return to their homes?

Mr Beast says he could start a faceless channel tomorrow and hit 20 million subscribers in six months “I could start a new channel tomorrow not using my face or my voice without ever promoting it and in six months have 20 million subscribers” “It’s purely knowledge if you knew what I knew you could get 10 million views a video and 10 million subscribers no matter where you are right now within 6 months” “It really is just knowledge”

SCOOP | Abdul El-Sayed, the far-left Democratic candidate for Michigan’s Senate seat, said at an event with Jewish supporters last week that he struggles to answer questions about whether he believes Israel has a right to exist as a Jewish state. “I often struggle with the question that people ask in this particular scenario, because what they now ask is, ‘Do you believe in the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state,’ which, to me, forces the question of a definition of what a Jewish state means.” Read the full story from @marcrod97: link.ji.news/4u1FAb4

This is an insane argument. The lack of normalization between Israel and Arab states had delivered nothing to the Palestinians. The Abraham Accords at least held (and still holds) the potential for expanded regional integration that would support and include Israeli-Palestinian peace. It also facilitated the UAE becoming the largest Arab provider of assistance to Palestinians, by working with Israel. Obviously Hamas’ October 7 attacks and Israel’s campaign in Gaza have set back regional peacemaking ambitions. And Trump has made a major blunder entering this current war. But the notion that the U.S. should oppose its regional partners becoming partners with each other because a hostile Iran and terrorist groups like Hamas don’t like it is absurd.

I think what pisses me off the most about that clip of Pokimane saying rich people like her are okay but the “ultra rich” are bad is that there is absolutely no universe where Pokimane deserves her money more than Jeff Bezos deserves his. This is incredibly obvious

@CatalepticJon @polphiloecon @jessesingal What ethnic cleansing is happening right now?

"things turned strange the morning of April 12, when the ship's captain announced into a microphone that a passenger had died...'I am told by the doctor that we are not infectious,' the captain says in the footage -- little realizing the ship's British doctor would himself be in serious condition weeks later. 'He said it was due to natural causes,' Cenet [a passenger] recalled in an interview by video link. 'They didn't even consider the possibility of having such a contagious disease'...Cenet said he was startled to see that 'everyday life continued' on the ship after the captain's announcement. His videos show elderly passengers mingling around the buffet table. 'We again kept eating all together...and we didn't wear any masks,' he said." rfi.fr/en/internation…
