Gulity plea in Ripudaman Singh Malik murder case In the New Westminster Supreme Court Tanner Fox, 21 and Jose Lopez, 23 pleaded guilty to second degree for the assassination of Ripudaman Singh Malik. 🔵 CHARGES LAID 🔵 We have charged 1 man in relation to a shooting & extortion that occurred last month in the northeast community of Saddle Ridge. 📍 On Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at approx. 8 a.m., a man reportedly exited his residence in the 0 to 100 block of Savanna Green N.E. & found his 2 vehicles & the exterior of his home damaged by what appeared to be bullet holes. No occupants sustained injuries. The victim contacted police who responded & began to investigate the incident. It is believed that earlier that morning, at approx. 2:20 a.m., multiple shots were fired at the house from a passing vehicle. Four days later, on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, the victim contacted investigators, as it is believed he had received threatening phone calls referring to the shooting and demanding a large sum of cash. Through CCTV & evidence left at the scene, investigators identified 2 suspects in the shooting. As a result, Gursewak SINGH, 32, is charged with: 📌 1 count of reckless discharge of a firearm 📌 1 count of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public 📌 1 count of knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm 📌 1 count of a firearm in a motor vehicle 📌 1 count of possession of a loaded restricted or prohibited firearm 📌 1 count of possession of a firearm contrary to an undertaking 📌 1 count of property damage over $5,000 📌 1 count of extortion SINGH will next appear in court on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024. Charges are pending for the second suspect. Although we continue to work with law enforcement partners across Canada, these incidents are not believed to be connected to any ongoing investigations. On Thursday, July 25, 2024, EPS and RCMP officers executed search warrants at six locations in southeast Edmonton relating to Project Gaslight.  Police also arrested and charged five males and one female believed to be involved in the extortion scheme that was targeting South Asian business owners in the Edmonton area. One female, Jashandeep Kaur, 19, and five males, Gurkaran Singh, 19, Manav Heer, 19, Parminder Singh, 21, Divnoor Asht, 19 and a 17-year-old male are all facing a host of serious criminal charges. BEWARE: Is there a serial killer running loose on the beach at White Rock? The second incident in three days occurred last night when Kulwinder Singh Sohi, 28, was fatally stabbed to death while sitting on the beach with a friend. His friends are urging @WhiteRockRCMP to do something before the suspect hits again. The victims in both cases were Punjabi. Suspect has the same appearance; he is described as a 5'11" black male wearing a grey hoodie with the hood pulled up over his hat.

Surrey's Laxmi Narayan Mandir president Satish Kumar clarified about the incident of shooting (At his son's residence) while talking to Indian TV "Times Now". He also cleared that protest organized in front of Mandir few days ago was against Indian government officials, not against Mandir. Indian media used the news of that protest and this shooting to put rift between local Hindu-Sikh community, who are living here peacefully. Few are now upset with Satish Kumar, check next tweet.
