"Urdu was forced on Bengalis, and they broke away." 🤣🤣🤣 Prominent Bengali politicians like Suhrawardy and Nazimuddin supported the idea of Urdu being the State Language. They discussed it in the constituent assembly before allowing Jinnah to announce it in Dhaka. Bengalis broke away because it's idiotic to have half of your country on the other side of the continent. It was never going to work, hence the mention of two states in the Lahore Resolution and the Cabinet Mission Plan. It was grouped with Pakistan at the last minute because some thought Karachi was needed as a replacement for Calcutta (an economic hub), which Mountbatten gave to Hindustan. West Pakistan still did what it could, including reducing the required height for joining the military so Bengalis could join, making Bengali the national language and other stuff, but there was no similarity between the two regions. Plus, Mujeeb also worked for the Soviets, and later Pakistan hit the Soviets back by siding with the USA during its Afghan "invasion". So there was more at play than simple misunderstandings. That, plus the post-election fiasco and other issues I mentioned, led to separation. Your views are very simplistic. Ironically, none of Mujeeb's six points mentioned anything about Urdu either. He never said he wanted separation because of Urdu. It was about decentralisation (on paper). Once, he was used, his own comrades sh0t him like a dog. Urdu was never an issue in our (West) Pakistan and will never be. Keep crying.

شیعہ اب ایک نیا فتنہ کھڑا کرنے جا رہے ہیں۔ عہد عثمانی سے دنیا میں قرآن۔۔۔ حفص طرزپر پڑھا لکھاجاتا ہے۔ سلاطین ترکی نے اسے اختیار کیا اور سعودی عرب کے فہد کمپلیکس نے اسے 1985سے قرآن چھاپنے کا معیار بنا لیا۔ تاریخی طور پر عرب مختلف قرات میں قرآن پڑھتے تھے‘ مگر نو مسلموں کے اختلاف اور حضرت عمرؓ کے حضرت ابوبکرؓ ؓ کو توجہ دلانے پر بالآخر حضرت عثمان ؓ کے عہدمیں صحابہ ؓ کی ایک کمیٹی نے تمام قرآنی مسودوں کو جمع کرکے ایک قرآن پر مجتمع کیا‘ جسے۔۔ مصحف عثمانی۔۔ کہا جاتا ہے اور خلیفہ کے حکم سے امت کو ایک قرات اور لکھائی پر متحد کیا ۔باقی سارے مسودے تلف کئے گئے۔ شیعوں نے پچھلے ماہ نجف میں نیا قرآن چھاپنا شروع کیا ہے جو مصحف عثمانی کے مقابل۔۔ ورش۔۔۔ طرز پر پڑھا اور لکھا جائیگا‘ انکا دعوی ہے یہ مصحف علیؓ ہے‘ یعنی حضرت علیؓ کا جمع کیا ہوا قرآنی مسودہ۔ ایک ایسے دور میں جب امت میں تفرقہ پرستی بڑھ گئی ہے امت کو نئے قرآن پر لانا ایک نیا پینڈورا بکس کھولنے کے مترادف ہے‘ جسے چودہ سو سال پہلے صحابہؓ بالخصوص حضرت عثمانؓ نے اپنے دور خلافت میں بند کردیا تھا اور حضرت علیؓ نے اپنے عہد خلافت میں اس دروازے کو بند ہی رہنے دیا۔ اب آپکو نجف کا چھپا قرآن ملے اور میرا گمان ہے شیعہ اب اسی قرآن کو گھروں میں رکھنے پڑھنے پر زود دینگے اور سعودی عرب یا پاکستان کے چھپے قرآن کو ترک کرینگے۔ تھوڑا سا اس بات کو بھی سمجھ لیں۔دونوں مصاحف میں بہت فرق ہے۔۔الفاظ کا بھی اور عربی معنی کا بھی۔مثلا سورۃ فاتحہ میں آپ حفص قرات میں پڑھتے ہیں مالک یوم الدین۔۔۔ ورش (یعنی نجف/شیعہ قرآن)میں آپ کو ملے گا۔۔۔ملِک یوم الدین۔۔۔مالک کے بجائے ملک۔اسکے عربی میں معنی بھی بدل جائیں گے‘ مالک کا مطلب یوم جزا کا مالک و مختار‘ جبکہ ملک کا مطلب یوم قیامت کا بادشاہ۔ اسی طرح دیگر سورتوں میں بھی ترمیم و تبدیلی نظر آئے گی جو منسلک تصویر میں دیکھ لیں۔ میری حکومت پاکستان سے درخواست ہے مصحف عثمانی کے علاوہ پاکستان میں کسی نئے مصحف کی آمد پر روک لگائی جائے۔ اللہ امت مسلمہ کو۔۔ شیعوں کے شر سے بچائے‘ آمین

@Manx4PM No. Because Zwhri represents closed-mindedness , enforcing belief by force. Ghamidi’s answer is in the opposite spirit. Tolerance of intolerance is not tolerance.

This is why I have the deepest respect for Ghamidi Sb as an agnostic/ex-Muslim. This is me asking him a very personal, question in his show, which I believe is super-relevant to youth today (2019)
