Similarly the idea of le "heckarino violent men" is them conflating the emotional violence they inflict upon themselves in their head with physical violence. Men's monopoly on force, and their general convergence on higher self esteem and super ego alignment read to women as power. That power transmutes to "aboveness", which inflicts emotional wounds on their ego or at least excavates their emotional ego wounds. It reminds them of how *less than* they feel, mostly due to the false frames of hunter gatherer utility as the only barometer for value (making men more valuable because they will forever read as better hunters), and id indulgence or slavery. They exist in characteristic emotional weakness because they absolutely refuse to discipline themselves. The natural resolve would be discipline, but lizard brain no likey. So they cope by transmuting that emotional wound into a physical wound, and transmute that they choose their feelings and instantiate them upon proximity to men to men as the cause for their feelings. This way, they don't have to discipline themselves to get higher self esteem, they get to indulge their negativity, and go guilt free because the onus is on men. It's beyond stupid and insentient too, making yourself miserable to save yourself calories. In a grand twist they're choosing the greater discomfort, but using the heuristic of slow dripping festering pain rather than a moment of compounded pain for later and greater relief. Slowly peeling a bandaid off vs ripping it off.

@donutsforeyes Because their eternal low self esteem, low agency, and insentience makes them resort to sexuality to feel power and faux value. But only if they control the supply of it. Otherwise it’s “taken” from them by the imposing male with force monopoly. Like how SSRIs numb all feelings

@donutsforeyes If you have ever exercised in your life you know long clothing can be restrictive and uncomfortable while sweating. Most female athletes choose to dress like that but they shouldn’t be automatically sexualized for

In terms of Global navigation, speeds, distances, lines of latitude and longitude… Temperature is almost always CELSIUS because 0° is freezing, and ISA temperature lapse rate is -2°C per 1,000 FT of altitude. That actually makes sense and helps make quick calculations like “if it’s 15°C (ISA) at sea level, where is freezing level?” So Celsius can be adopted, but NAUTICAL MILES is the foundation for global navigation and charts….. degrees, minutes, seconds and arc seconds etc. Changing it all to kilometers simply doesn’t make sense at all.

Aviation began in the US and they still use miles, gallons, feet and pounds because redeclaring Alpha airspace starts at 5846.4 meters ( instead of 18,000 FT ) would be laughable. American pilots adjust their altimeters up there to 29.92 based on “international standard atmosphere” as the baseline. British pilots use QNH 1013 HPA ( Query Newlan Height) because they are Brits and tend to think they are born with a better pot to p!ss in.

@st_louis_stan The cognitive gap error they make is that they feel like when sexualized off their terms sex is “taken” from them, whereas when they post their T and A themselves they’re “in control” of the supply, which is a compulsive obsession born of that angsty eternal neuroticism

This is a very good example of high sexual neuroticism but on an institutional level, you have the implicit idea that male desire is immoral and dirty and dangerous, that it contaminates female dignity, violates them with unconsented-to sexualization, but with the added institutional level that male desire is a moral danger must be managed from the outside, that some sort of external authority, in this case the broadcaster, needs to be tasked with managing the possible sexual perception of female athletes because it's unacceptable and even dangerous that male desire be activated. And you can tell this is female neuroticism because at no point is it suggested that women perform in clothes that aren't one step above underwear - no, it's the dirty men and their horrible sexual leering that taints something innocent with scary and threatening sexuality. So you end up with institutional sexual neuroticism treating male desire as a public risk that must be managed by authority

New broadcasting guidelines for women's athletics have been released to crack down on camera angles and slow-motion replays that ‘sexualize’ athletes The guidelines highlight shots broadcasters are urged to avoid

@DefiantBaptist I love the premise in that, like it’s ridiculous to morally forbid alcohol gooning. Uh yeah, you deserve to go to hell for indulgence, that you can’t fathom living without it is worship of the worldly

@MarcheseMethods "Why is he distinguishing between foreign and native fish?! Aren't all fish the same?! Fish!!!"

In the 1970s, several species of Asian carp were brought in as foreign workers to do the low-skill, labor-intensive jobs that native fish supposedly couldn’t handle at scale. The carp performed the task efficiently at first, and their population size remained relatively contained. Over time, the carp escaped into the broader ecosystem. Their numbers exploded. They consumed the resources the native species depended on, outcompeted local populations, and turned the environment into a chaotic and dangerous mess for all involved. For decades the official response was to throw hundreds of millions of dollars at the problem. Nothing worked. The invaders kept spreading anyway. The carp had anchored themselves through mass reproduction. Turns out the real solution was already swimming in the same waters. Strong native predators like the blue catfish began devouring the invaders whole. These were the all American fish who had been held back and kept down for years. Once they were allowed to operate at full strength, they controlled the explosion naturally and at no extra cost to the system. The expensive interventions mostly failed. The natives who were built for this kind of competition succeeded. The solution was to allow the native fish to do what they had been built to do all along: defend their homes and offspring with all the ferocity of a mother grizzly. I hope you enjoyed this story that is only about fish.
