@lvjin1993 I wish they had these in axial flux style bldc. Would love to take advantages of the manufacturing equipment around that to make some tiny nice motors.

这款超薄步进电机确实把空间压缩到了极致,力矩密度高、动态响应快,小机身大能量,真是蚂蚁扛鼎!

This is going to succeed because of this one part: Automatic Nozzle Calibration. Looking forward to seeing this in peoples hands, and hopefully get my hands on one soon😁

‼️PRUSA x INDX for CORE One is here! With this release, desktop 3D printing enters its endgame: ✅ 8 independent tools. 8 loaded materials. Different nozzle sizes ready at all times ✅ Abrasion-resistant nozzle (INDX) ✅ True high flow with CHT, fast printing with your!! validated materials (INDX) ✅ Low-latency temperature control with induction heating and low-mass nozzle. Fast heat-up and fast cool-down (INDX) ✅ Dynamic dual-drive gear with large diameter. The grip strength self-adjusts based on the loaded material on pickup (INDX) ✅ Accelerometer ✅ Class-leading loadcell mesh calibration ✅ Fast eddy current toolhead offset calibration with ambient noise cancellation (PRUSA) ✅ Priming outside print area, with real print backpressure analog. Only 13 milligrams of material to fully prime. 1/5th of previous best in class!!! (PRUSA) ✅ Waste/priming pellets are formed for direct recycling. No grinding or pre-processing needed before going in the filament extruder (PRUSA) ✅ No waste/prime tower as the tool is pre-primed fully (PRUSA) ✅ True Toolchange Time: 10-17 seconds per change based on material. That’s from the last extrusion from one material to the first extrusion with the next, on the model itself. Achieved with removing the waste tower (PRUSA) ✅ Enclosed heated chamber and automatic vent opening for low-temp materials What a time to be alive, when you can have this at home / office / lab! I would not believe it 5 years ago! Big shoutout to @BondtechAB for INDX and my team for the rest of the innovations needed to make this awesome package ❤️ Now I guess we can just go hotter and bigger 😎 More info ⤵️

@observie @saleae Very nice capture. I really like this scope. I love how they are using the USB C wires for digital probing.

This is my scope. It's a 12-bit, 200 MHz, 1.6 GS/s no-knobs scope and logic analyzer combined, specifically designed for embedded systems development. I'm a long-time user of @saleae's logic products. They're not cheap, but I've always felt they give me an edge on whatever I'm called to debug. This one is called the "Logic MSO" and it takes debugging to the next level. I still have my analog scope around, but just for sentimental reasons: I haven't used it once since I got this bad boy. Probably the biggest advantage of the Logic MSO is its ability to record a long session and then just scroll, zoom, and annotate. No more missing rare events and you get to see the before and after. It was instrumental in debugging the BMS issues below: being able to record a night-long session was invaluable. The fact that their software is super intuitive and runs on Linux helps too.

Overnight recording of a JBD OH17SA01 BMS output - almost 11 hours - show consistent voltage drops every 10mins. Robots don't like voltage drops.

@Cpt_TAKAHASHI Have some more! Here my MDR, in .308, with the longer barrel and the Medium Power Variable Optic in black. And my brothers MDR with the Eotec/ Magnifier setup chambered in .223 with the shorter barrel in tan!

“Do you own a sewing machine?” is my favorite interview question for engineers. “Is it a serger?” is the follow up that really clinches it.

@blind_via If you were making a flight controller or something similar you would need to make much more significant gaps that may no longer be worth dealing with. I was limited in my ability to connect ground to the chassis so spark gaps worked well.

@blind_via Pick a good value and test. Closest point was 8 farthest point was 10 mils with. I used a round trach surrounded by ground plane. The product is not going to be used beyond 10k feet. I won't be doing pulling a vacuum to test but that is outside the scope if the product.

These features on the pcb look like little bugs faces. I think this is for shorting across on purpose like a jumper, but for more current.

@blind_via This was used on the chassis to device ground. The current version is designed around 1.5kV at sea level. Anything smaller should not be able to jump to sensitive components anything larger should only use this spark gap path. All other interfaces have dedicated protection.

@MarcosLima260 how do you account for different environments it will exist in? arc gap varies a lot based on altitude and moisture environments

@MatthewTavares @dddpworld I had seen these before. They are very cool. I wonder if you could do it with a single gear and deflect the whole gear. Basically like a wave washer.

@i2cjak I find this to also be a bit crazy. Adafruit seems to have a different inductor and others have just replaced it with a LDO. I really think it is some EMI thing that they are not explaining clearly.

@boxcardavid I have noticed if the company has a dedicated site the prices are much closer to what they used to be. Aliexpress is still a bit inflated for me.

Actuator prices seem pretty stable, $175 on taobao for a robstride 04, $280 on their website (links to aliexpress), which is the same as a year ago. What you’ll actually pay after shipping and tariffs will depend on how sneaky you and your shipper like to be
