F Andreas Athanasiou, just 25. Defensive concerns, yes, but the guy can skate. His agent Darren Ferris in discussions with team right now. RHD's Sami Vatanen and Travis Hamonic also still out there, both 29... Bargain city out there right how.

@BradKrysko @WingedWheelPod You're saying a guy who won a Calder Cup and had three excellent years in the AHL - helping develop Mantha, Athanasiou, Jensen, Nyquist, Sheahan and Tatar - isn't good with young players? The guy has been coaching a joke NHL team with immovable contracts.

I have made no secret that I am not fan of him as a coach, we better see some legitimate progression from Cholowski, Rasmussen, and Svechnikov this season. He does not have a good track record developing young Wings and that’s the most important thing for this team right now.

@BillyDHowell @HeleneStJames Ras actually just turned 21 in April. His first NHL season at 19 was promising. Not flashy, but solid. Has the tools to be a tough 3C scoring 20-25 a year imo. Hoping that Cholowski bursts through this year.

I don't think they're giving up on him. But he had a great opportunity this season to gain a foothold, and it was disappointing he didn't try harder to stay in the lineup.
