We know many of you were looking forward to playing on PS4 or Xbox One, and we are truly sorry for the disappointment this causes. This boundary helps determine if a world has sufficient gravity to retain an atmosphere against the erosive effects of its host star. Its relative proximity makes GJ 3378b a strong candidate for observation by future instruments. NASA’s upcoming Habitable Worlds Observatory planned for the coming decades aims to analyze atmospheres of Earth like planets and look for biosignature chemicals. No claims of life have been made.
