Amanda Lyn Merriman, 50, of Victoria MN, has been charged with criminal vehicular homicide while under the influence for a fatal wrong-way crash on April 11 on Hwy 212 in Eden Prairie. Charges say Merriman initially admitted that she had consumed two vodka cranberry drinks before driving back from a venue in Wisconsin. In a later interview, Merriman stated that she did not know that she was traveling the wrong way on the highway, and further stated that she preferred not to answer whether she had been drinking alcohol prior to the collision.
