The it no longer becomes a "contribution" to one's own Social Security "account", it is just a tax on wages to fund a Govt funded social welfare program for the elderly. That's NOT was SS was designed to be.

Every dollar earned below $184,500 a year has a Social Security tax of 12.4%. Everything after that cap is exempt. If we lift this cap on the wealthiest earners, Social Security would be fully funded till 2070. The cap should not exist.

It used to be reviled. Then, it started showing the shit that cops went through. The difference is the body cam backs up the officer's observations and statements. Remote cameras/radar doesn't have a live person observing anything. It's kind of like Robo Umps vs strike zone/replay challenge.

I'm literally telling you how insurance works because My family has been in the industry for 50 years. Combined experience between myself, my mother, my aunts, my cousins and my sister is nearly 200 years. I don't support the ACA... at all. I know the mandate was supposed to subsidize it. Did you think I was telling you that ACA was a winner? I'm telling you it was bad from the start. The original version had a public option. THAT was the original goal. It was supposed to be public insurance for everybody. But the Democrats got MASSIVE backlash from the medical companies in their own states! So they had to strip it. The compromise was the individual mandate. For the FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES... IT WAS LITERALLY ILLEGAL TO BE ALIVE WITHOUT PAYING A TAX! How the Supreme Court allowed that is INSANE!

Yes. Insurance (risk based protection against future unknowable incidents) is not designed to cover things that have already happened and are certain to incur costs. Yes, this was a problem, but not one that can be solved by insurance. This is like signing up for car insurance the day after you crash and expecting them to pay out.
