@scottwalker88 Here here. Went to @SeaWorld during our trip a few weeks ago, family wanted to go having loved it in the 90’s/00’s. I wasn’t so keen having been a few years ago. Arrived for opening, left before 11. There aren’t the words for what it now is. They’ll never get our money again.

While I think it is very sad that Kumba is closing as it was always a special and important coaster, Busch and SeaWorld have became so mismanaged that an equal part of me just doesn’t care.

The rumors were true. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay confirmed Kumba will be retired. Its final day of operation will be Aug. 2, 2026. The park also announced a new attraction, Kumba's Revenge, as part of a $100 million investment. More details to come.

@JimShull And the equipment too - I can’t help but think it’s a no-brainer for an extinguishing system to be built into a set piece such as this, or indeed the parade float? Especially the parade float given it’s proximity to Guests.

Thankfully it appears no one was hurt and the damage was limited to the figure and the pit. #Disneyland This unfortunate event points to the need for increased training for Disneyland cast members to handle situations such as this.
