Big news! I've accepted an offer from @UTAustin @ut_neuroscience and will start my lab in January! We'll be doing NHP #neuropixel recordings and BCIs to understand the neural mechanisms of attention and self control. It's a dream come true and I am so thankful to my mentors 🥲

Big news, I just accepted an offer to join Baylor College of Medicine's Dept of Neuroscience as an asst professor! I start Fall 2024, and I'm looking for phd students, postdocs, and research scientists to join me studying learning in neural populations. henniglab.org

Stay tuned for an updated preprint from @KaganovskyNeuro that digs into the in vitro characterization of Stx3-dependent plasticity as well as a slew of Stx3-dependent (and independent) behaviors!

We also found that CA1 Stx3 is necessary for expressing in vivo correlates of behavioral timescale plasticity and for plasticity associated with putative sharp wave ripples. This means Stx3-dependent membrane fusion may be a common molecular mechanism for these processes!
