50% of trans people were born as male, and 50% born as female.
Transphobes ignore Trans men, but obsess over trans women using women’s toilets.
Both sets of people are being negatively stigmatised by this ruling. In fact, toilets are about to become more confusing and hostile than ever.

@Heccles94 Definitely- and everyone in the right place! What you men don’t get is that women- most women- do not want our single-sex spaces being taken away by men, who then have lots of male spaces while women have none. Not just toilets after all…

Labour has announced that the 5p cut on fuel duty will be extended for the rest of the year. I know a lot of my constituents are feeling cost-of-living pressures, so I’m pleased this government is keeping pump prices down in response.

New: Andy Burnham has backed the EHRC guidance on single-sex spaces and said the Supreme Court ruling on biological sex must be implemented. Burnham told journalists at his campaign launch in Makerfield that his views had changed since previous comments made in 2022, and he said: "I think the time has come to take the Supreme Court ruling and the guidance and implement it. But to do it in a way, obviously, that protects those spaces, but does not marginalise already marginalised communities." He said: "Let's implement the guidance, but to do it in the fairest and most compassionate way possible." "We've got to move into the next phase and not constantly re-running the arguments. I think Britain has done this too much in recent times, you know, with Brexit and other things. We've got to stop arguing with each other."

We are aware of a highly defammatory post by Stephen Lennon, aka Tommy Robinson, against @hopenothate. He has now removed the post, but not before over 1,300 liked it and numerous people made very threatening and violent comments. This matter is now with our lawyers.
Given that there is a trial taking place at the moment, we will not be making any further comment for the time being.

@stellacreasy She’s no stranger. She is in our face, in our lives, taking everything we work hard for. She is in public office, employed by the public and is not listening to a word they say. Her employer was not shouting at her but speaking loudly in an attempt to be heard.
